CLEANSED TO LOVE
We usually can see a big change in something that has been dirty for a while after we begin to clean it. Not only does it look and feel better, but we begin to use it again because it has again gained its’ luster and newness. Once we are cleansed by God, we can’t help but feel His love. We can’t help but want to share His love. We are to love others as God love us. We are to love them deeply with all our hearts. We are to love them completely no matter what they have done. We are to love them truly in obedience to God. When we are cleansed of our sins, we will feel God’s love and will want to show His love to others.
SCRIPTURE: 1 Peter 1:22 “You were cleansed from your sins when you obeyed the truth, so now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters. Love each other deeply with all your heart.” (NLT)
ACTION STEPS:
1. List some people God is calling you to love.
2. Write down how God wants you to love them deeply.
3. Pray for God to work in you to share His love with them.
4. Go to them and show them God’s love.
PRAYER:
Dear Lord, we know there are some who are hard to love. We know there are many who have done wrong to us. However, You tell us to love each other as brothers and sisters. We are to love them deeply with all our hearts. Show us that love today and how we can share it with others. We thank You for cleansing us from sin and we want to begin today living in obedience to You by showing love to others. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
REMEMBER:
God cleanses us from our sins and teaches us how to truly love others.
When we show love to others we are revealing to them who God is to us and them.
1 John 4:8 “But anyone who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” (NLT)
If we want to treat others right, we need to show them love.
FOCUS:
Romans 13:10 “Love does no wrong to others, so love fulfills the requirements of God’s law.” (NLT)
We can’t go wrong when we show sincere love to others.

Always good to be reminded that I need to cleanse away the old to make room for the new, even if that old was just yesterday.
