H is for Honesty. I had to get honest about my drug of choice. I had to get honest about substitutions I brought into my life to fill the voice instead of filling up with spiritual things.

I is for Idea. Once we have an idea, it is best to run it by our sponsor or share it at a meeting and see what feedback you get. I was told to think opposite to the way I use to think, so I had to get use to recognizing the old and replacing it with the new idea, thought and action.

L is for Limits. We often limit our life with a closed mind, tunnel visions, and an unwillingness to do what our God wants us to do. We limited our God by harrow minded beliefs. When we come from a place of love, we open our mind, body, and spirit.

M is for Memory. We have body memories as well as mental ones. We need to acknowledge the incident, feel the feelings, and let them go. Those old tapes are killers. We need to make new ones. We are in charge of the play button, as well as the rewind, erase, fast forward, etc.

O is for Options. You have several options, you are granted freedom of choice. You can choose to stay sober or go back out and do more research and hope you make it back through the doors of recovery. When we really think about it, we have two choices, to live or to die.

T is for Try. All we are asked to do is be the best we can be in today. Nothing more, nothing less, all we are asked to do is try. Try is the last letter of the words JusT foR TodaY. Living in the moment, don't bring in the horrors of yesterday unless it is for a lesson that needs to be learned and then let go. Don't project into the future, it hasn't got here yet. Don't miss out on today.
