JUST FOR TODAY! Beginning from: "Freedom from Bondage" "A.A. taught me that WILLINGNESS TO BELIEVE was enough for a beginning. It's been true in my case, nor could I quarrel with 'restore us to sanity,' for my actions drunk or sober, before A.A., were not those of a sane person. My desire to be honest with myself made it necessary for me to realize that my thinking was irrational…. I've been benefited from a dictionary definition I found that reads: 'Rationalization is giving a socially acceptable reason for socially unacceptable behavior, and socially unacceptable behavior is a form of insanity.’" © 2001, Alcoholics Anonymous, page 550 ============================================================ Sending out A.A. recovery messages Monday through Friday "Just For Today!" I know from being in AA that when I was still out there drinking and useing people places and things that my thinking was not the way of a rational person, when I go to meetings I learn how to behave in a more normal way. I am WILLING to continue to better my program one day at a time for it is the most important thing in my life. Without it I am lost and I know that the bar door would not be far away. My beging in AA was a shakey but I wanted to be a winner because I felt like a loser for most of my life. Have another good 24 hours everybody!! LOve&HUgs Big Jim

I can really identify with that. Before getting sober in AA, I had an *emotional knee-jerk reaction* to all the happenings of this thing called "life"
Today, I have learned to *Think, Think, Think* before I act!

This is another reminder that I need to turn my speech, thoughts and actions over to my HP daily. It isn't a one time deal. It is best done with good intent and the right motives, not just mouthing the words and not really meaning them. Either we live or we die. To die is part of the selfish, self-centered person I was, and have no wish to go there in today.

When we have freedom of bondage, we can make our own space. Our own special personal space, made up of our favorite chair, music, lamp, books, etc. When we are in that space we can talk to our God and to the Angels.
