Loving Each Day

Freedom is loving and accepting with responsibility, loving
yourself first and extending that love to others. Love never
erodes; it is an organism that feeds off itself and grows.

I suggest you water your loving plant with the freedom of
honesty. Un-protect by sharing what is, regardless of
considerations. You may be surprised to find that the person
you care for has as many frailties as you. As long as you
both share honestly, the human shortcomings are less likely
to be held against the other; they become just part of the
human process, like breathing in and breathing out.

Loving Each Day is intended to uplift readers and
give them pause to reflect on the Spirit within them.
It is a free service of the Movement of Spiritual
Inner Awareness (MSIA). MSIA is a
nondenominational, ecumenical church that teaches
that each of us is divine and we can know our own
divinity.

A key is to appreciate with gratitude what you find.
Everything has value. Nothing needs to be different from
what it is. That's a beginning point.

If you venture forth without accepting things the way they
are, you are in a path of separation and disturbance. You
are going to be off and out of balance. You will need to
come back to acceptance, which is letting things be what
they are and open to what can become.

anyone does.

It is a love that lifts always. It is a love that
can transcend all other levels. But you have to
have the wit to see it. You have to have the
courage to participate. You have to have the
endurance to always turn to the love through all
things.

Really like this, so often I think something and don't follow it through with action. I beat myself up regularly for not listening to myself. Often if I had been willing to take a risk, trust my self, and go with the flow, I would have saved a lot of chaos in my life.

Have you ever had the experience of knowing something you
couldn't really know if you were relying simply on your
physical senses? Have you ever thought of an old friend and
within a short time, the phone rings, and it's that friend?
How does that happen? Have you ever gone a different way to
work, changed your mind at the last minute and eaten at a
restaurant you didn't plan to, or stopped at the store on a
spur-of-the-moment whim, and then you ran into a friend who
really needed to see a friendly face or needed a shoulder to
cry on for a few moments? What is this?

It appears to be random. Is this physical level being
influenced by a spiritual state? Is there something in you
that is communicating with something in them? Are we
connected? I believe we are, but it's not the body and it's
not the mind or imagination or even the unconscious. It's
the Soul. It's the beingness that is the same in each of us.
It's the spark of Divinity.

sharing that I do with you or with all the people
I interact with is going to be good -- good for
me, good for you, good for others.

that pure, open, honest communication, with yourself and
another.

In that relationship, intimacy is beautiful, accepting,

the imperfections are all part of the same package.

When you are initiated to the Sound Current, it is a very
important step because you are saying, in essence, "I am
going to go into the heart of God. I am going to position
this above all other things."

It means that you are rededicating yourself and reaffirming
your devotion to your own Light, your own true self, your
own Spirit.

Sometimes we have a tendency to go on what we imagine as our
direction instead of paying attention to the way things are
actually working. We may say, "This will change because I
can see it. So I don't have to work with this because I can
see how it is going to be." Be careful of those thoughts
because you really need to be in touch with the way things
are.

It is not that what you are seeing isn't also accurate. Just
make sure that what you see is integrated with what is.
Because in order to get to where you want to go, you need to
manage where you are well enough.

To be integrated with your Spirit, speak honestly and act
honestly. God is your partner. That means God is going to
stand by you. That also means you have nothing to worry
about so you can be completely true to yourself.

You don't have to worry about a thing. What happens happens.

Being true to yourself never goes against God's creation
because that would be God being divided against itself.

Your future will someday be your present, where you will be

your life. Of course, that intimates that the reward is in
the future. Once you recognize what you want, however, you

wants into a reality.

The inner guidance you may receive from Spirit within is
that small voice in the wilderness of your heart that is
telling you the truth. It's saying, "I am the Beloved. I am
the one for whom you have been searching. I am God dwelling

through contemplation, and by taking the time to be with
yourself away from the distractions and confusions of the
world.

Q: I am afraid to desire something, even if I say, "for the
highest good," because I don't want to get into a desire
pattern.

A: Wanting something and putting it in the Light doesn't
automatically create a desire pattern. It's when you desire
something to the point of total distraction that a desire
pattern can be created.

When you ask for the Light for the highest good in relation
to something you want, it is then also important to let it
go and forget about it. Just trust that if it's for the
highest good, it will come forward, and if it isn't, it most
likely won't.

You might feel good about yourself if you could realize that
you were established in Soul consciousness and that while
you were living in Soul consciousness, you could watch your
body evolve itself through its final process and release
itself from the wheel of incarnation.

You could then reside in the majesty and glory of who you
really are.

What is important for you to realize is where you are
directed. What is your purpose?

Your purpose is peaceful. It is to love your neighbor, which
is a commandment that Jesus put forth -- to love your
neighbors as yourself, to love one another as I have loved

Sometimes people hear a direction during meditation. Then
they take that and amplify it, dramatize it and build on it
until it becomes a tremendous "project" they feel they were
directed to do. That project may only be an interpretation
of the original message, and it may be such a distorted
interpretation that it has no relationship to the original.
The person who heard the message may be working hard,
thinking it's a God-given process of enlightenment -- but it
may be "false doctrine."

People have killed because they thought God directed them to
do that. And yet most can look rationally at that action and
say, "No way. God would never direct anyone to go out and
murder another." But the killer may have thought it was a
great idea.

The process can happen in very subtle ways as well as the
more obvious ways.

You may spend many days saying, "I forgive myself, I forgive
them, I forgive this judgment, I forgive…gosh, am I going to
be able to eat today, or will I spend all day forgiving?...
I forgive myself for judging them."

Forgiving yourself is better than food, because you can miss
a meal and it will not hurt you, but if you miss the
forgiveness, what you judged yourself for may be lodged
against you.

When you show unconditional loving, such a secure support
may encourage your lover to change that habit just because
of loving understanding. Not pressure.

And even if they don't change, you are still experiencing
love because you have chosen love.

I was talking with some of the people around me who I work
with closely and they said, "I didn't want to feel like I
was doing an ego trip." And I said, "What's wrong with an
ego trip?" They looked a little perplexed, as though we're
not supposed to do ego trips. That's the biggest bunch of
nonsense you'll ever hear. Everybody's doing an ego trip. If
you weren't, you wouldn't be on this planet.

You have to have enough ego to maintain yourself here or
you're shot down. It's a defense mechanism. You just tell me
in your mind which you think is the greatest: the person
that does an ego trip and lifts people around him or the one
that does the humility trip and blocks everybody. Which is
the greatest one? Humility is not a virtue unless it becomes
virtuous by its nature. Neither is a big ego virtuous except
by its nature. Neither is anything, except by its nature. If
we have a low ego and it blocks us, and we have a large ego
and it blocks us, what is the difference? It's a block. And
if we use it to free us, then what is the difference? We are
free.

Freedom here and now -- this is the spiritual promise. This
is spiritual liberation.

Your life is a gift.

In each day, find your gratitude. Right where you are, find
your gratitude. Finding gratitude is going to open you up
so whatever would serve you will come to you, whether it's a
cure, a spontaneous healing or anything else you need.

Goodness is what you deserve. It is your heritage.
