The Light may seem a little intangible to you for a time.
Even if you are unable to see it, however, you may be able
to see what it can do in your life, how it can change and
lift.

Even when you are not aware of it, it's lifting you. In
fact, it's the energy that sustains you.

Ask for the Light and the Traveler to help you release and
clear anything that is not for your highest good.

You can also do spiritual exercises, which is one of the
best ways to clear any negativity, either within you or from
anyone or anything else.

And if there is any self-judgment, do self-forgiveness.

Q: Does desiring anything produce karma and, if so, how can
I learn to live in such a way as to dissolve karma?

A: Live your life as lovingly as you can and apply the
teachings in your life, and the Traveler will handle the
rest.

Some people are afraid to die because they don't know what
the next step will be.

It's loving.

When you die, you go straight to loving. So live now into
that part that will live -- the love, the humbleness, and
the truth that is eternally present. Then life blooms forth
and is enhanced by the Lord's name, by calling on the
sweetness of God's salvation.

The parts of you that you resist most often are based on
fear. If we wanted to boil down the negative power, we could
just call it fear or the denial of the truth. And why do we
deny the truth? Usually because we're afraid.

For example, why do we lie? Often it's because we were
afraid that if we revealed the truth, something terrible
would happen. The one who runs that show is the one who is
the liar, the one who denies the truth. The one who is the
truth realizes that the truth is everywhere and it's
uninhibited, unstoppable, so it sets you free.

Don't be afraid to look at yourself. If something's wrong,
find out now.

Even if you've spent thirty years expressing a particular
way, if it's wrong, it's wrong. Drop it.

If you're smart, you'll let it go so fast everybody will
wonder what happened.

Why don't you let them come to you and work with them on the
levels that will be right and proper?

Some people ask, "How can I do this?" We say, "We put it in
the Light."

How do we put it in the Light? Say, "Father-Mother-God, I

of service. You know what I can do. I'll just let it go.
It's in your hands."

Marriage, in order to be successful, requires 100 percent
commitment to loving -- commitment, not necessarily
accomplishment.

In other words, if your partner sometimes exhibits
less-than-loving behavior, don't beat them over the head
with, "But you agreed to 100 percent commitment!"

You can't promise ten thousand years, and you can't promise
tomorrow. But you can live right now, and that's all there
is.

The spiritual promise does not deal with this plane, and so
therefore it is a promise, and that promise will be kept.

The truth of who you are in this world is there is no
condition that stops you. There's no negativity that is your
enemy. If anything, it puts you into the crucible, where the
experiences can be intense: If you're glued, you become
unglued; if you're attached, you fall apart or come apart at
the seams. Often the way that's described is, "I'm crazy. I
can't contain my reality any longer. I don't have the
strength to run it. So I'm just letting go." This may seem
like giving up. Consider this is the "crazy" that keeps us
from going insane.

spiritual path is the expression of gossip.

The forces of negativity (I call them the "loyal forces of
the opposition") are just as loyal to the action they
represent as those of the Light are to the action they
represent.

The negative forces will do everything possible to knock
down your positive position. It can certainly be a
challenge, but if you can hold the positive position and use
only the positive energy to activate your life, the negative
forces will not be able to harm or hurt you in any way. It
will simply not be possible.

I continually suggest that people always check things out,
no matter what they hear or see or no matter who says
something to them.

That is just a smart way to live life.

For example, most people are too knowledgeable to believe
that everything they read in the newspaper or hear on
television or the radio is true.

It is the same with anything you hear or see inwardly.

Q: You said that "suffering is the result of attachment.
Attachment is the result of desire." Does that mean I
shouldn't desire anything?

A: What I'm talking about is desiring something or someone
to the degree that you feel you couldn't live without it --
a consuming depth of desire. Desire is part of the human
condition and part of living on this planet.

Keeping our wants and desires in perspective so that they
are not running us (in other words, we stay in balance with
them) is the way to effectively deal with desires.

Take the time to really foster your love for yourself.

Do spiritual exercises so you can lift above the mundane
activities of your life and see how you are working things
out and learning the lessons that are important to you.

Then you can love yourself even though you have made
mistakes along the way.

Your annoyance regarding your lover's behavior might change
to amusement and acceptance of your loved one's
all-too-human conditioning.

Changing the attitude is a great key to having constructive,
long lasting, loving relationships.

We can think we are perfectly justified in stopping our
loving for a variety of reasons -- boredom, irritation,
anger, hurt, etc. -- but loving is always the baseline of
life, the thing that is more important than anything else.

This does not mean you need to be a doormat or take
ill-treatment in any form, and sometimes the most loving
thing is to tell another person that what they are doing is
not something you will participate in.

Another approach is to participate in it and still be
loving.

If you want to know Soul Transcendence, forgive them. This
doesn't mean you become stupid and don't see the injustice
or the negativity of the situation. It means that you walk
towards a Light consciousness, a transcendent consciousness.


You walk towards God. And as you do that, you perhaps see

When you are taking care of others, you are objectively
involved in their lives and you lovingly support and lift
them each moment. You are right there in the moment they
need you, and you see clearly what to help them with.

You see clearly when to leave them alone, when they must
complete and fulfill what they've created.

You hold for them as they grow, and when they can accept
your love and your Light, you are right there for them.

Our mission is really to awaken to the Soul.

As we do that, we become a serving consciousness, so we do
good in the world, right here, right now.

In that, even though there are wars going on, somebody still
needs to sweep the floor. Maybe that seems like a petty,
small thing to do, and shouldn't we be over there on the
front lines, stopping the war? You have to decide that for
yourself.

But you might want to clean up your own area so that you
stop the war in your own life.

Then maybe that will give you the authority to go stop the
war somewhere else.

I made a spiritual promise to the people I work with in
Spirit, and every one of you know that I have kept my word
with you, even when you broke yours.

I kept mine, and even when you break yours tomorrow, I will
keep mine, because I didn't say that I would do it if you
did what I told you to do. I said, "Yes, I'll work with
you…unconditionally." That eliminates chaos in God. It
brings direction, it brings completion, it brings the
ability to endure all things. Jesus, the Master said, "He
wins who endures to the end," but not in those words.

When we live in the Spirit, we feel joy, no matter what is
going on, and I also doubt if any of us in a physical body
lives in a high, ecstatic state of joy all the time. So if
your level of joy is down, does that mean that something is
off spiritually? No, it just means you are not feeling the
joy of the Spirit.
