P is for Pride. Give credit where credit is due. Who helped you along the way. You did not here on your own. I know my God was there and He put many in my path to show me the way.
I can take pride in what I do, knowing the Source of that empowerment.

R is for Restore. If we want the program and apply it to our lives, we may be lucky to have a few brain cells restored. Step 2 says could restore us to sanity, it doesn't say He would.

S is for Sobriety. Sobriety means soundness of mind. I have to work on my emotional, mental, and spiritual sobriety, not just the physical. It doesn't mean just alcohol, it is about all mind altering substances.

T is for Time. We can't always give monetary gifts, but we can give of our time.
We can meet someone for coffee, loan an ear and/or a shoulder to listen to someone's hopes and fear and give a place for them to lean on. Volunteer, set up meetings, be a greeter, get involved in service.

U is for Unity. The first Step you need to take to get through the doors of recovery to determine whether you want what we have. Once through those recovery doors, we will help you take the rest. We can do what I can't do alone.

Y is for Yellow. Yellow is for caution. Have you done the Steps and are you working and applying them to your life or are you setting yourself up for relapse. Are you going to meetings? Do you have a sponsor? Do you have a home group? Are you active in service? These are only suggested, but I have found them to be darn well betters, or you will relapse. Listen to those who have gone before you and done the research so you don't have to go back to see for yourself.

Z is for Zero. When our score card reader zero, we looked for recovery. We tried hospitals and institutions only too find we didn't have a mental disease, but a disease that affected us mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and physically When we came we found there was no quick fix but it could be arrested one day at a time through the 12 Steps.
