A is for Action. The last of the 5 As. Awareness, admittance, acceptance, attitude, and action make up the process of change for me. If I don't find a measure of acceptance I stay stuck. Some times I have to change my attitude in order to take action, but I often have to take action to change my attitude.
Thought is that always best followed by a tion. Sometimes it is best to stop and think awhile, have I practiced the other As.

B is for Big, Better, Best. Somr of that comes true and more in all that you do. I call it spiritual awareness and experience. It comes at different times as you learn to work the Steps and apply them toyour life. Many blessings which take different forms.

D is for Down time. Take time to rest. Don't get caught up on the merry-go-round of noisy. Busy can be just as big a n addiction as work, shopping, and gambling. It all leads to the same soul sickness as other drugs, whether street, prescribed, alcoholic and/or relationships. I have found that anything involved with OPs, leads to my drug of choice, which is more.

I is for Isolation. Isolationism is part of your disease. Isolation not only blocks you from the negativity around you that blocks you from your Higher Power. You block your Body, Mind, and Spirit from the positive as well. Recovery is about finding the negative in the positive and change it. We need to find the positive in the negative and use it to transmute it into a new energy a new thing. We are reborn of the spirit.

K is for Kindness. Be kind. Why not, it takes less energy. Be kind to yourself too. Look for your kindness gene and nurture it.
Take time for a cup of tea. Share it with another. Take time to read a book. Did you ever think of reading to another. Take a walk, take along a companion. Put some kindness into your life today.

M is for Mindful. There are a lot of things I need to be mindful of, #1 is Resentments. They can take me to a dark place where the sun doesn't done and depression rules. #2 on my list is Isolation. I need to remember that isolation blocks the hood as well as the not so good from our HP. #3 is Complacency. There is nothingore harmful than indifference. All three can corrode the soul and can lead to relapse of the body, mind, and spirit.

P is for Pursuit. Pursue your dreams. Don't give up on life. Don't let life pass you by. Don't let your fears stop you from starting.
I went back to school at 59. It didn't take me to where I planned to go, but to a better place for me in the long run.
We have freedom of choice. Once we have made a choice, we are free to choose again .,

Q is for Quick. If you don't feel like going to a meeting, go as quick as you can to the nearest one. Don't walk, Run.
This is not a quick fix program. It is a process. A one day at a time process, and your time isn't up.

R is for Irritable, Restless, and Discontent. One is bad, two is dangerous, three can be traumatic. Run, don't walk to your nearest meeting.
I have Restless Leg Syndrome. I can walk miles in my sleep. I don't need to be rushing around in my head as well as doing a number on my body. Wonder why I am so tired all the time.

S is for Sobriety. My definition, Soundness of Mind.
I know some times my mind does come in to question, I am just grateful to have some of it left.
Just for today, I choose not to use or abuse people, places, and things. That brings me Serenity (I love doing the ABCs) as well as Sobriety.

T is for Tired. Don't let yourself get overly tired. You set yourself up for relapse. That is why they say, H.A.L.T. Hungry, Angry, Lonely, and Tired. When you are tired, your defenses are down. When we are tired, it is hard to remember when an we just want the pain to go away.
