U is for uncover. By using the 12 Steps and applying them to our life, we uncover the wreckage of our past. We visit our past, not dwell in it. We leave it the past where it belongs. We unco want to make known, but we must uncover secrets that we didn't want to remember, but we must acknowledge them in order to let go and heal.

V is for visit. We need to visit our past, not live in it. We don't pack our bags and bow out on life, to wallow in yesterday. We visit to learn from our past and live in the now.

W is for Waste. Don't waste your new life by wishing it away. Don't waste the worrying about what might have been. Don't keep walking in the past, glance back at it, learn from it and let it go Waste not, want not. A phrase my mother use to say to me.

X is for 'Xtremes. We don't have to go through those extreme hoighs and lows any more. We can find DC balance and know peace.
When we take the 12 Steps, we will be able to go through any situation, if we take our program and OUR God with us.

Y is for Yes. Say yes to sobriety. Say yes to being clean and sober. Say yes to recovery, one day at a time.

Z is for Zip. In this case, Zip means NADDA. Zip means we are at the end of the rope and there is no where to go. Do we take a leap of faith and trust the program will work for us. What is the alternative? Jails, Institutions, and Death. Death does not mean the end. Through the program we can be reborn of the Spirit.
