I jsut got an email that a lady who has recently been coming to my local f2f meetings because her daughter is an addict/alkie...lost her daughter yesterday to suicide. The daughter has a young child. I can't imagine the grief over losing a child.
Please pray for VIV and her family.

Death is traumatic no matter what age it strikes. Each person's coping skills vary. For me my hubby couldn't deal with the loss of his family and became an addict to obliterate any traces of reality from his world. Your friend has my prayers. May they have the strength and courage to go forth.
Love & God Bless Arlene

I jsut got home from the funeral home. What a sad situation. My freind said her daughter clled and asked if she cuold come home on tuesday and she was drinking. She told her to work her program and get sober and she was welcome to come home. She killed herself the next day. I know She will blame herself for the rest of her life. She said the tough love didn't work. I will be sure to keep in contact with my friend, even if she stops coming to the meetings now.
thanks for the prayers Lildee.

Hi Lin
I will keep VIV in my prayers, and her family too. It is hard to loos some one we love to drinking and using. and yes some times tough love does not work.
In time she will be ok and how wonderful lin, she has you for a friend, some one to talk with in her time of need.
