Please pray for my mother Rosemarie. She has dedicated her life since 1993 to helping to fight for children’s and victims’ rights despite having to battle health problems. 32 years ago my 7 year old sister Joan was sexually assaulted and murdered by a neighbor when she was delivering girls scout cookies to him. In 1993 her killer came up for parole and was very likely get out of prison. She mobilized my town to keep him in prison by leading a petition drive and helping to set up a vigil. She was successful in keeping him in but he continued to appeal to try to get out of prison. During this time she began to spearhead a campaign to change laws to make it safer for children. In April 3, 1997 Joan’s Law was signed in New Jersey to insure anyone who molests and murders a child will stay in prison for life. In 1998 a federal version was passed and more recently a New York version was passed. She also began a Foundation in my sister’s name that helps homeless and abused children. It has provided for shore vacations for the children of an inner city shelter the past 3 years.
For 7 years she has been able to leave her house for only short periods of time because her body becomes over heated with hot flushes going though her and gets tightness in her chest . This becomes stressful on her body and particularly harmful because she also has a muscle weakening condition called Myasthenia Gravis. This condition causes her muscles to get weak after short amounts of time. She’s been on medicine for the hot flushes but they have done only a little and seem to have side effects that make her feel worse. She needs a doctor that can work holistically.
Can you please pray that she finds a doctor that knows about Myasthenia Gravis and hot flushes. I was thinking possibly an endocrinologist who understands the holistic approach would be the best kind of doctor. If you know of any doctor who could help please contact me at Del2@email.com.
