Misty posted yesterday that our freind TIGER is having surgery for lung cancer that is near his heart. We offered prayers for Tiger in the chipping section, but I thought I'd put it over here too in the prayer section for folks who dont frequent the chipping section.
tiger...my thoughts and prayers are with you! My mom had lung cancer and i remember the day they operated to see if they could remove it.
keep a positive attitude. that goes a very long way!

My Dearest Tiger,
My prayers and wishes for good health are with you. May the guardian angels above keep watch over you.
Here is a little prayer to keep in mind:-
HEALTH
THE WILL OF GOD IN ME IS HEALTH
"The Lord will take away from thee all sickness." De. 7:15
Yes, the Lord, the Divine Law of Life, will take away all sickness. But, with this promise there is a condition precedent. The Law demands that we do something first- "Love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. " The will of God in me is health, but I must fill my heart with thoughts that produce health. The appearance of sickness is but the effect of sick thoughts. There is no power in symptoms, conditions, or any of the false appearances called dis-ease. As I turn to the Lord, my God, at the very center of my being, loving this Law of Perfect Life, with all my heart, all my soul, and all my might, there is no room in me for thoughts that outpicture as dis-ease. The will of God in me is Health, Wholeness of mind, body and estate and this Wholeness only will I serve until it outpictures in every facet of my life and I am made every whit whole.
And so it is.

Thank you very much for your concern and prayers.
My surgery is Wednesday June 22 and it is really major!
The spot may or may not be Cancer but it is so close to my heart they have to do major lung surgery to determine what it is and how to treat it?
I have not been on the computer much lately and I have unsubdued myself from 2 other AA groups because I couldn't keep up with the posts'.....but I remained here at EOR.

Dear Lin----This was so kind and thoughtful of you to mention Tiger
in 2 sections instead of 1. He deserves a double shot!!! LOL I saw Tiger at the John Doe meeting this morning and he is nervous but so glad that people are praying for him. He is definitely in my
thoughts and prayers cuz he is such a wonderful man. Thanks again Lin. You are a sweetheart!!!

Thanks to all of you for your prayers.
I am 3 weeks home from the hospital and getting my strength back slowly.
Our God *does* answer prayers. They got the cancer removed and the rest of my lungs are clear!!!
I'll keep it short but I would be remiss if I didn't say *Thanks*
I hope to be more active soon
