A is for Action. Thoughts come and go, we have two decisions to make. To act, to not react, to take action or not take action. We are given that "pause" to come to a decision.
Recovery requires action. Go to meetings, talk to your sponsor ,(if you haven't got one get one) work the steps, love the steps, get active in service, pray and meditate, get phone numbers, call them and the list goes on

B is for Blessings. They are on belief. They are bountiful. Thy com as a result of working the Steps. Be aware, they are all around you. Don't miss out by turning a blind eye. They come in many shapes and sizes.

C is for Care. Self care is important. My sponsor said, ''Do for yourself what you do for others.". I was also told to fill up myself and only give away the overflow. I still managed to have burn out on a yearly basis. Then I would self care by going to Hamilton's Autumn leaf Round-Up.

D is for Digest. Take things in at meetings, go home and digest then. Don't reject things until you try them. They have worked for others, they could work for you. Things are but suggestions, but there are some darn well betters or you will slip back into old ways.

E is for Exam. There are no tests you have to pass. No requirement for membership is a desire to stop using you are a member when you say you are. The only examination you need to take is to look at your spiritual condition. Is it string enough to keep you clean and sober in today.

F is for Faith. These are troubled times and we need to have faith in our Higher Power to see us through.

G is for Group. It is hard to connect in these trying when you can't gather in your home group. Hopefully you have phone numbers of the people in your group. We can do what I can't do alone. Grateful for Zoom meetings.

H is for Help. Help others it helps when we get out of Self We also need to help and take care of ourselves. We can't give away what we don't have. We don't give for what we get back. We share because we care.

I is for interest. Before this incident, we could go to meetings and make a deposit on our life insurance. Some don't have access to the internet to go to online meetings. They are having to make withdrawals and hopefully grateful for all the meetings they attended in the past.

K is for Kit. Pack up your old kit bag, you are going to need it. Hope you have your phone numbers, literature, and.anything else that has helped you stay clean and sober now that you can't go to meetings.

N is for Normal. Normal, isn't that a cycle in the washing machine. What is normal for me, may not be normal for you. What is normal for an addict is to use. Just for today I choose not to use people, places, and things.

O is for Open minded. My best thinking got me to the doors of recovery. I needed to change. I needed to open my mind to be ideas and concepts

Q is Quit. Quit acting out in your dis-ease. Quit using people, places, and things. Substitution doesn't work.

R is for Resentments. Resentment can lead to a big pile of trouble. Ty hey are the number one cause of relapse. Get rid of them, let them go. Turn them over to your. HP snf pray for the people in your life.

S is for Short. Don't sell yourself short, if you have stayed clean for 24 hours, you are a winner. Sometimes serenity is in short supply, but misery is optional. Stop beating yourself up. Don't think short change yourself. Remember we do this one day at a time.

T is for Take. Take the Steps, the elevator I'd broken. There are no quick fixes in recovery. The Steps are the solution. They are the program.
