A is for Acceptance. Accept what is in the moment, knowing it is subject to change. We do not have to like it. Without acceptance, we can not move forward. Anger paralyses us instead of motivating us.. We stay stuck

C is for Change. Recovery is about change and not acting out in our dis-ease. We change the things we can and turn the rest over to our Higher Power.

D is for Delight. Take a delight in your day. You have 24 hours, make the most of them. Take joy out of each moment.

E is for Exercise. It can be a rest diversion, but it can become an addiction. Balance in all things make for a healthy life style. Exercise your right to be. It is okay to be you.

F is for Fear. Somers ther are healthy fears. I feared if I missed a meeting, I would relapse. I did two sometimes three meetings a day. Now I try to get to three meetings a week.ll

G is for Gratitude. Always remember to be grateful.. A little goes a long way.

H is for Honesty. In order to heal and grow and work the Steps, we need Self honesty. It helps to have cash register honesty too.

I is for Instinct or your gut feeling, that gives you that good orderly direction we need every day. That inner knowing we all have, all we have to do is learn to listen to it and distinguish it from the voice of our dis-ease.

K is for Kind.vvsometimes we don't have family support, but the people in the recovery rooms are our new brothers and sisters. They have been where we have been. Kindle the gift of fellowship. Stick with the winners

L is for Lose. Lose all those behaviours, habits, patterns of your past which no longer serve you well on your recovery road. Lose these marks and tear down the brick walls to find the real you.

N is for Normal. What is normal for me not you. Normal is a cycle on the washing machine. Not always a fact of life when you are in recovery.

O is for Over. We do the Steps over and over again. When you get to 12 you start over at one. As we work the Steps, we gain measures of self honesty.

P is for Promise. We are promised freedom from active addiction if you find a program right for you. It works when you work for it

O is for Opposites. When I looked around the recovery rooms, I use to think, "I would never have socialized with these people. As my disease they became my kind of people. In recovery today theyare family."Oppositess attract.🤗p
We come from all walks of life with one disease, addiction.

R is for Rest. Don't rest on your laurels, rest in the fact that the program will work for you too. Rest in the fact that your Higher Power does not leave and forsake you.

S is for Some. Some is good, more is better to the addicts way of thinking. We can learn that some is enough if that is all you can do. Get some rest. Do some Step work. Get some exercise, remember that our dis-ease is mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical. We need to fill up and have fuel to stay clean and sober.
