The old-timers had some great jokes but they had a moral to them:

Before the hospitals got involved in rehab, alcoholics were sent to mental institutions. One such alkie was sitting in his chair in his room as he overheard a conversation between an inmate and his doctor.

The inmate said "I am Napoleon". The doctor replied "your not Napoleon", The inmate replied "i Am" and the doctor relpied "your not Napoleon" Then, in despiration the doctor asked "how do you knowyour Napoleon?". The inmate relied "God told me".

Upon hearing this, the alkie jumped from his chair, kicked open the door and shouted:
.................."I Did Not!"
