As we try to create new lives for ourselves, we find out just how unmanageable our lives had become.
We need to do an inventory of what is, to get rid of the debris and clutter in our minds, our homes, our sacred space.
When we can think clearly, we find the path we would like to take, and find some direction as to how to get there. When we get rid of the obstacles to our recovery, we can then get on with the flow of life.
I am co-creator of my own life. I am given freedom of choice. I am responsible for my own choices and it is only me who can find the willingness to change.

When reading this in the moment, I again realize that I should edit more carefully when I post these in the wee small hours of the morning.
Ironically, I did it when my mind was cluttered from a dream of my son and his girlfriend, with a mixture of drugs and scripture from the Bible floating around in my head and not wanting to go back to sleep.
It was amazing that the verse John 3:16 can give you a feeling of fear. My son's girlfriend has gone through more surgery for cancer and has been in a depression. Please include her in your prayers. My son loves her very much and I realize as I write this, that my fear is for him if anything should happen to her. She has children 16, 14 and 12.
