I've heard the recovery acronym HALT many times. Am i Hungry?
Angry?
Lonely?
Tired?
today I read another...BASHED
Bored?
Anxious?
Stressed?
Hormonal?
Exhausted?
Depressed?
Any of these things can cause me to slip in my serenity and get back to my old stinkin' thinkinn'./ It can also cause me to binge eat, then beat msyself up for it.

Hi Lin Ive never heard of bashed before but it pretty sums up how ive been feeling bashed up. Its a little funny seeing it in print lol thanks for the smile and putting a name to how ive been feeling lately. your friend tired  |

LOL I just love acronmys! I'd not heard this one, Lin. But I gotta tell ya, when I read this one I shared it with the Brit who chuckled and assured me he'd been the recipient of the "H" one...LOL Poor thing...he's right. I get that hormonal stuff going and wow - can it get messy in short order. When I find myself getting tearful over some robin eating some poor worm and the Brit's bringing me coffee and staying outta my way....BASHED seems the appropriate cue word to remind me what the deal is! LOL I'm keeping this one! |

LOL on the H one. Yesterday my beautiful Schnauzer, ROCKY, brought in a LIVE YOUNG BIRD. He was trying to chew the bird and the bird was squawking. I chased them and Rocky took the bird under the bed. I pulled Rocky out and hte bird stayed. I tried to get the bird...he went out one side, around the bed and back under the bed. I reached for him again and was able to catch him and release him in the front yard.
I think THIS one was spared. Most birds, rabbits and possums that decide to walk across my back yard are not so lucky. That makes me very sad. The pregnant bunny...OMG...i cried and cried.
So you being teary over a bird eating a worm..i sure can relate.
I liked the BASHED acronym too. I actually found it on the Weight Watcher site but it sure did apply to me with things besides eating.
Glad you enjoyed it I agree. It's a KEEPER.
