K is for "kindness". Be kind to yourself and be your own best friend. Share that self-love and care with someone else.

K is for Kin. When I came through the doors of recovery, I found a new family. One who understood me better than my blood relatives did. My new 'kin' told me to keep coming, told me that I was worthwhile and that I deserved recovery. They told me I wasn't hopeless, that I could stay clean and sober one day at a time and that they would be there for me.
The kinship that I found in the rooms of recovery have been a very special gift and I will be ever grateful for the people God has lead me to on my road to recovery.

K is for Key. The key of willingess unlocks the doors of recovery. It also opened the doors of my heart.

K is for Kingdom. Are you the king and queen of your castle? Do you act like you are on a throne and talk down to everyone around you or do you acknowledge everyone as equals.
Do you feel that the world and those around you owe you and that you don't get what you feel you deserve. Are you so busy looking at the people, places and things around you that you forget to look within and find the small glimpses of heavenly kingdom that God reveals to you daily. Is your Higher Power the King on the throne or are you the designated ruler for the day?
