L is for my favorite slogan. LET GO AND LET GOD. By letting go, turing my problems and their outcome over to my higher Power, I free myself to enjoy my life more.

Oh boy two biggies for me in "L".
Love and Life. Seeing the events of the past few weeks it has only intensified my need for both. Both in those I love and how I feel about life. Life is too short and too prescoius to piss it away by harboring negative feelings guilts, and resentments. I plan on living, loving and laughing all the way to the pearly gates with no regrets.

Love the LAUGHTER personally. One of the greatest gifts of recovery has been the ability to laugh at myself and not take life so seriously, especially all my little errors and omissions, fears and phobeas.

Sorry but on a negative note....
topic for the week- L ...... Lies
I can honestly say I hate them. Either through omission, little white lies or out and out huge falsehoods. No matter how big or little they are lies serve to hide something. There is a premeditated movitation with lying hiding some part of yourself. For me the worst part of lying is that it breaks any trust that I have towards the liar. Something that is too valuable to do without in any relationship. Honesty maybe painful but at least it is real. (IMHO)

Live is evil spelled backwards. It is important to live my life and when I do this under the direction of my Higher Power. I can live in the positive instead of the negative, change the negative into a positive, and live my life as God would have me live it, instead of existing, marking time, and missing out on the goodness of life.

L is for .... lost.
When I came into this program I was lost, without any form of God in my life, living in a world of insanity and chaos. Nothing made any sense. But now I have been found. Living each day in God's Light, working this program. Learning how to live as He sees fit to guide me and letting the Steps be the path toward Him.

L is for the Legacies of this fellowship. The 12 Steps, 12 Traditions, and 12 Concepts all teach me how to live in a spiritual way.

L is for Love.
The spirit of goodness that I received from the AA conference that I attended this weekend.
An awesome weekend with many new and old connections, which ended too soon and closed with a sobriety count down. One gentleman with 52 years and three people with one, two and three days of sobriety.
