S is for sanity. Learning not to repeat the same old thing over and over again expecting a different outcome.

S is for Survivor. Many of us are survivors of abuse of some kind, we are strong people who tried to go it alone, who found strength and empowerment by working a Twelve Step Program into our lives.

S is for the Steps and the way they have influenced my life in body ,spirit, mind. They have reinforced how to live as a good decent human being. They have given me my connection back to God. They have shown me the way.

S is for Skills. We all have different skills and gifts to give back to the program. What I do, someone else might not be able to do. What others do, I know I could never do. I offer my skills to God, one day at a time to make indirect amends to those who I can't meet face to face.

S is for Spirituality. The program is about spirituality and finding your connection with God (or your own HP) . It is not about religion (though a person maybe religious). It is through this spirituality that we find inner strength.
