W is for Welcome. A special welcome to all the new members. You are no longer alone, you are welcomed to share anywhere. It was nice to know I was no longer alone and that other's had been where I had been. The welcome I received in the rooms of recovery kept me coming back.

W is for ... Willfulness.
Willfulness and serenity cannot coexsit.
Letting others travel their own paths rather than trying to force them to travel ours is no reflection of how much we care, but do we really believe this? Perhaps not, so we exert our will. And in exerting our own self- will, instead of God's will , we loose our serenity.

W is for Wait. Wait on your Higher Power, it is in His/Her time not ours. When we wait, more will be revealed. If I am in a place of not knowing, then it is best for me to just wait until such a time as I do know.

W is for Willing. In today, I am willing to do what ever it takes not to go back to where I came from. Just for today, I am willing to wait on my Higher Power and can pray and say, "Thy will not mine be done."

W is for Won't. Today with my Higher Power, I have "Won't" Power. I won't pick up a drink or a drug today. I won't be a screaming shrew today. I won't dislike myself today.

W is for WORDS>>.I am responsible for the WORDS that come out of my mouth...and I need to choose them wisely. My words can build up another or cut them down. They can make a person feel good or a person get angry or hurt. There is not need for naging, for put downs, or for sarcasm.

W is for Weak. I must remember that I am weak of myself, together we can do what I can't do alone.
