I love this little book!
Powerlessness at first sounded like an oxymoron to me. I was POWERLESS but that understanding and acceptance actually gave me POWER.
WOW!
I am powerless over the actions of other people. That give me more time to work on those things i CAN control...which is MYSELF. Being powerless over others give me POWER to work on ME. I can change the way I react, the way I look at thing, my own attitudes. It give me POWER to take charge of my own life. it give me power to set boundaries and limitations where i can find my own happiness.
YAY!

How true Lin! When we surrender to our powerlessness, we are empowered to do what we need to do for ourselves.
Time and energy that we gave to others, we can now redirect to our health and well being.
Ironically, when we do this, it indirectly helps the people we wanted to help in the first place. When we walk our talk, people see the change within us. I have had people say, "I want what you have!" I respond with, "No, you want what God has planned for you."
