Am I confused? Could be, but I have a question.
When i am looking at the topics in a forum. I often click on one a few down the page of that section . After that i want to go to the one most recent and i click next topic. That gives me the one that came before it. If i want the more recent one i have to click previous topic. Is this backwards from the old boards? It seems to me a previous one is one that happened before it and a next one woudl come after. i THOUGHT that was the way the old boards were arranged also.
But i have been wrong before...might be again.

Mornin Lin.... I swear I just ansered your post and clicked on submit! Wonder what I did with it.... hmmmmm I really don't remember ever using this feature on the old message board. « Previous Topic | Next Topic » I did play around with it before making my original post and it seems to be working just as I thought it was suppose to work. If you are reading a thread that is in the middle of the board, and press one of the features it will not take you back to the most recent one. Did it ever work that way on the old boards? I think it is designed to take you to the post directly before or after the thread you just read....... Now, have I completely confused you .....hehehe Hugs, ~SG~

yes...those two buttons are supposed to take you to one post before or one post after. But for some reason i am thinkingthe wires are crossed...that previous topic is one that was posted earlier and next topic is one that was posted after but they semto be workign the opposite..like wired are crossed. We might check with kathleen and see if I am confused. It sure woudl not be the first time! LOL LIN

I clicked on the "GLOBAL MODERATOR" post in this section, I wanted to go to the next topic-(the one located immediately after it) and it took me to the thread called "QUESTION" and that would be the next one on the board. I then went back to "GLOBAL MODERATOR" thread and clicked on previous topic- (the one just before) and it took me to the "ODAT" thread. That would seem to be right to me also ..........and I may very well be the one confused! Wonder if anyone else is having the same problem? Or would like to share their experience - strength- and hope on this topic.... lol lol lol Hugs, ~SG~

I don't know if I am fearless but have been reading here your posts, questions, and replies. And all I can say is hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ;D
« Previous Topic | Next Topic » I click on a topic and waited for the page to load, then when I was done reading and wonted to go to the next topic on the board were I fouind and opened the first topic "I clicked on the link at the top of the page here "NEXT TOPIC" and the next topic in line opened for me.
Seeing that I was reading the first topic on the board I couild not "well I did click on Previous topic" and went no wair but got an error page. Click my back button on my tool bar, came back to were I was and then went from there by clicking on the "NEXT TOPIC" link.
We all have allot ot learn in using these new boards, and I have lay them out as simple as I can for all of us to use. To answer the question about this board being like to old one, the answer is NO. This board has more toys to play with, and after you lurn the can does and the can not does, you will like it better than the one we left behind.
Up top of the page here you will see a tool bar with lots of buttons, click on the HELP button and there you will find allot of answers to question you might still have about this board. Please keep in mind we all are lurning how things work here "ME TOO"
So to answer you question Lin, NO YOU ARE NOT CONFUSED, just lurning some thing new..
Love you all Kathleen
PS: sorry I didn't get back to you on this matter sooner but today my hubby and I took the day offffffffff together, and loved every moment of it.

I sent out the posse for our fearless leader also. Glad you had a nice day off Kathleen!
I used that feature lots and lots on the old boards. If i had alot to read such as coffee shop or chipping away I'd start downthe page where I had last left off. Then I'd click Next topic and go to the one above it with teh more recent date. It seems it is backwards here. It WORKS...so that is a plus! We can just learn which way NEXT and PREVIOUS will send us. LOL

You think you are confused !!! I don't even have a previous topic or next topic button. All I have showing is a reply, modify, send to a friend and print. Along the various posts are quote buttons. So if you find these buttons let me know. Thanks Arlene

Thanks for the reply ( ( ( ( Kathleen ) ) ) ) Glad we got this figured out So on this message board if you want to read the next thread, just click the Next Topic>>and if you want to read the one before it, click the <<Previous Topic ;D Mornin Lildee...... There is no button for the feature we are talking about, but at the top of the page (and bottom), just above the reply button there is a link in blue that you can click on to see the next topic. There would be no previous topic, for this thread as it is the first thread in this section. « Previous Topic | Next Topic »
