For me, the notification button is not working. I have used it on about 4 topics, but it never notifies me. Is it supposed to be by mail that it notifies or some other means?

adagio,
I will look into this. Having just started working on the site recently, I'm not sure, I will find out for you.
Sorry I don't have an immediate answer to your question, but I will find someone who does.
Thanks For Your Patience,
Shelie ;D

adiago, From what I can see the notification button is supposed to notify you by email. Is your email address current on our pages? I checked the notification button myself, I'm going to see if it works for me. If not, I will figure out why! Shelie

All I know is that I've been posting here for over a year, so somthing in EOR must have changed.

adagio,
I tried out the notification feature for this board and it worked. You can tell if your email address is current by running your mouse over the little email icon on the left hand side of your posts. You must be logged in or it won't show you. It is showing your email address as adagiogelato@aol.com. If the address isn't correct, you can go into your profile and update it.
Also, in order to use the notification feature, you must click on the "notify" button located at the top and bottom of the actual posts. The "notification" button itself just has a list of the posts you want to be notified about.
I hope this clears things up for you. If not please let me know and I will do whatever I can to help you.
Thank you,
Shelie ;D

you are quite welcome!! I'm glad it works. It's a good way for me to know if someone has a question for me when I get to work at Monitors and More and check my email. I always check in here too, but I know sooner this way.
Have a really nice day!! ;D

Shelie...when I run the cursor over the e-mail icon, it says 'e-mail'. Is it just supposed to say that? My address in profile is correct.

Just sent you an e-mail, and hopefully this works also.
Just got home from a Merle Haggard Concert. Totally awesome and on a natural high!

adagio,
Yes, it should say email when you run your cursor over it, but at the bottom of your screen in the browser taskbar it should say "mailto:your email address here". For instance, mine says mailto:shelie@monitorsandmore.org. That is how you will know if it is showing. If your "notify" button is working you should get an email telling you that I have made this post. You should be able to click on "Notifications" for a list what topics you wish to be notified about.
Please let me know if you have any more problems. I will keep doing my best to assist you.
Thank you,
Shelie ;D

Caressa2,
Thank you for trying for me. It seems to be working everytime for me.
Merle Haggard, huh? I grew up on his music, and although I'm more of a rocker, who wouldn't love Merle? I saw Johnny Cash about thirteen years ago and he was awesome. Saw Barbara Mandrell once, too. Talk about talented. That woman could play a tin can and make it sound good. Sounds like a blast!
Thanks again,
Shelie ;D

adagio,
That's really strange, I can't explain it. It seems to have worked for dg too. By all rights you should get an email notifying you of this post.
Please let me know.
Thanks again,
Shelie ;D
