I just want one more time again, to THANK YOU - A L L here at EOR, ----------------------------- If It had not been for folks like Lin, and Kathleen, and many others, I might still be a hopeless drunk. I could not get out and go to meetings in real life. I had to sneek becoming sober. I was in a most unusual set of circumstances, and it was my second time of trying deerly to hold on to sobriety. The 24 hour a day live chat back then, and seriously postings, with very very quick responses, also 24 hours a day, was more than any live meeting I could have ever gone to. I truely believe it saved my santity, and the direction my life was heading. Today I have been sober now , well July the 5'th, will be 6 years? Well, Lin knows exactly. I need to post here way more often now, to give back to those who helped me, and to another new person that I , yes, the senior moment specialist, me, might could reach. ((((((((((((((((((((((( hugs )))))))))))))))))))) p.s. I REALLY MISS TWEETY. LOL Suzanne

Yep. I am agreeing it is 6 years. It felt good for this little Alanon to have a part in getting an active alkie SOBER. I knew what I did all the time with those in my life was not working. I am jsut grateful to you SUZ that you listened and so very PROUD of you for sticking with it!
I agree...the 24 hour chat that was always full of helpful folks was awesome. It's ot bee like that for a very long time. It's sad. When I gave up my meetings it was like a funeral....saying good bye to a special chapter in my life.
But i have 2 jobs now and a husband on disability who rarely leaves the house....and it's jsust not possible for me to commit to a certain time for online meetings. i DO try to get in there every Sunday morning from 6 to 7 CENTRAL time. I sit and chat with one or two who know I am there and drop in. ANybody else who wishes is welcome to join us.
There are two chatrooms now. I guess I need to try to figure out the new one and let folks know where I'll be.
I wont have time to check it todayl...expecting to spend at least 12 hours at the hospital with hubby for a heart cath- angioplasty.
So glad you are SOBER and so glad I was there when you neded to talk. I never let you give up on your own abilities.
Congrats on the upcoming 6 year birthday!
LIN
