V is for Vow. A vow is a promise. There are many in the Big Book that have come true for me. I made a vow to myself to work and live the 12 Steps into my life, one day at a time. I didn't vow to stop using forever, it is a one day commitment.

X is for "X- tra" special. Treat yourself with extra special care during this holiday season. For many of us the "holidays" bring up all sorts of emotions. Double up on prayers and meditations. God will get you through it.

Z is for zero. Zero drugs or booze in my home. It is a boundary for my sanity. What is done outside my home is not of my concern. I didn't cause it, I can't control it, and I can't cure it.
