V is for Value. Through this program, I leanred to value myself. I was told my word didn't count, I didn't count, my thought and actions didn't count. The people in the program told me I was worthwile and that I need to learn to validate myself.

W is for Willing. The key to sobriety for me was to be willing to not pick up, no matter what. Also, a willingness to change. Sobriety doesn't allow me to act out in my old patterns and behaviors. That is my disease talking.

Y is for Yellow. The colour of sunshine. I don't mind waking up to it in the morning. I no longer feel so bad my hair hurts and I can enjoy the day. I am too yellow to pick up a drink to see if this time it will be different.
