This chip came up earlier in the week but I guess it is something that I need to look at. I need to be more willing to get laundry done and not wait till it is climbing the walls. I will be stubborn and disciplined about getting it done. Are you willing or stubborn? Please let me know! Thanks-----Mistyeve

Good Morning Mistyeve,
Willing/stubborn
I guess I am kind of stubborn about going to the dentist. (Not my favorite place.) Anyway I have a toothache. Bummer. But I am willing to put up with the poking and prodding if only to get rid of the pain.
What is really amazing is that for someone who can open their mouth to scream I have a hard time opening up for the dentist. LOL
Love & God Bless Arlene

The saying has been a big part of my week. When I supply the willingness, God supplies the power. I need to remember that I don't have to be stubborn, that I can turn it over to God, and I don't have to do it alone. May God be with you tomorrow Lildee. As they say, when the pain is bad enough we do something about it. I tend to be stubborn in the fact that I ignore my pain and then I end up my own worst enemy.

Dear Arlene----Congratulations on passing for an adult!!! LOL I know how ya feel about the dentist. He either hurts me physically or financially. I am gonna have a million dollar smile when he is all done. I don't want to be a snaggle tooth ole hag so maybe it is pride that keeps me going but that is a whole other chip! LOL Good Luck Honey!!! Love & Compassionate Hugs Mistyeve
Dear Caressa----I am too much of a coward to ignore pain. I think that pain can be a warning that some thing is wrong. Thanks for stopping by!---Mistyeve

When you always have pain Misty, it becomes normal. The bad days are when you can't think and do through it. Some days are just better than others, there has never been a day without it that I can remember since I came into recovery. It is just nice to know that in today, I don't have to use because of it.
It was the basis and the fuel that fed my addiction for years. It was when I found a desire to live healthy, eat healthy and learn to take care of my emotional, mental and phyical issues that the pain lessened and I could deal with it one day at a time. Emotions and stress can make themselves known through physical pain. Physical pain can cause emotional upheavel and mental anguish and anxiety and I don't have to take mediation for that either. This program has been a life saving gift for me.

I try hard not to be considered 'stubborn" in any areas of my life. It's one of those words i have negative childhood memories about. So WILLING is a more positive way for me to be. Taht thing abut laundry piling up ...that's one of my things..I dont want a large job...ever. So i do laundry as often as i can and it never piled us. The only time I have to do more than one or 2 loads is when I strip the bed and do the sheets, blankets and comforter. A small job is much easier to finishe than a BIG one. So why should i let it pile up to the point of being a BIG JOB???

Dear Lin----I think your on to something when ya say get it while it is a small job before it turns into a big job. In theory this sounds GREAT! In reality it can be different. I share the laundry equipment with others in the apartment building. The machines turn off after 8pm!!! It really puts a time crunch on me to get it done as soon as I get home from work at 4pm. I really miss having my own equipment but that just gives me something to be willing to work for. Thanks for stopping by! Mistyeve
Dear John---Willing to be Willing is a real good thing!!! Thanks for stopping by-----Mistyeve

My father said I was more contrary than stubborn, although I do admit to not having very much won't power.
I won't use today was never an idea or thought that entered my mind or if it did, I didn't listen.
So many times over the years, I have had to pray for the willingness to be willing.
Love this quote, it puts a new perspective on things.
