This chip reminds me of the words in the 4th step "searching and fearless MORAL inventory....To have morals and values in my life is a real strong tool the program helps me to have. I want to thank Lin and Arlene for covering the chips for me the past few days. The first word in the 1st step is "we" and I am so glad "we" all work together to keep this column rolling. Thanks so much!!! Do you have morals or are you immoral? Please let me know! Thanks!-----Mistyeve

During my drinking days I was very immoral. After I got sober though, I developed a consience, became honest and moral.Life became easier when I didn,t have to lie anymore about my actions and whereabouts. The 4th step allowed me to put that moral inventory on paper and admit to GOD, myself, and my sponsor in the fifth.

Good Morning Mistyeve,
Moral/immoral
Been on both sides of this chip. There is more peace and serenity on the moral side of the chip. Instead of constantly living with all the negative liabilities of the past.
Love & God Bless Arlene
PS No problem covering the chip.

Dear John----I really liked what you said about lying about actions and whereabouts. That seems to cover a lot of territory! Thanks for stopping by to talk about this difficult chip!!!----Mistyeve

I read the Saturday reply from Misty first and assumed she had asked Arlene to cover for her. Sorry Arlene. I did not know she had asked you to cover. I jstu saw there was not one on Sunday and I posted one. I apologize if I overstepped my boundaries . it wont happen again.
Moral and immoral? its as simple as following the 10 commandments for me. It's as simple as WWJD...the bracelets the kids wore a few jears ago...deciding what Jesus woudl do in a situation helps guide me to do the right thing. When i was a teen I'd ask myself..WOULD MY PARENTS BE PROUD OF ME FOR THIS? That one was trickier...because they were rarely proud of anything I did.
Treating others as I'd like them to treat me, works for me. Immoral things like stealing, lying, cheating, affairs, NOT on my list of things i do. I try to do what I can not to hurt others and often that makes me crazy. LOL

Dear Lin----I want to thank you for all of the help you contribute to this column. You have really helped to keep this column moving and going. I just don't like to have you feel like you are being imposed on. This is kinda like a group that meets everyday. Each person in the group sometimes needs to step in and help out. The first word in the first step is "WE" not I or me....The format is to work off the list of chips other then that I don't see any boundaries!!! Thanks for stopping by and PLEASE feel free to keep coming back..... Sincerely Yours Mistyeve

This is something that I believe is between each individual and their Higher Power. I know that there are a lot of things others would do that I wouldn't, and I am sure that works both ways.
I try to live for the Highest Good of All, and work towards a better me, and be the kind of person my Higher Power would have me be in today.
There were a lot of old tapes attached to this. The strict religious background that I was raised in made EVERYTHING a sin, so I had to find my own truth.

Dear Caressa----The program talks about a God as we understand him. I think the program gives people a lot of room to make up their own mind what will work for them. Thanks for stopping by!---Mistyeve
