You gave some good examples of being responsible.
I Like the idea of imitating an "adult". This menas doing what a person with wisdom and experience SHOULD do in each situation. ( NOT what some adutls do when they are being irresponsible...)
I take my responsibilities seriously. If I sign on to do something, I do it to the best of my abilities. I odnt complain and try to get out of it.

Good Morning Mistyeve,
Responsible/Irresponsible
For the most part I would consider myself a responsible person, if not overly so. I take commitments and promises seriously. If I am not sure about a commitment or a promise I will say so point blank. For me responsiblity ties in with self - honesty and truth. Being honest about what really needs to be done. If I say I am going to do something, I DO IT.
Love & God Bless Arlene

Dear Lin---Yeah Impersonating an adult can be real tedious at times but in the long run it does pay off. Thanks for stopping by Honey! Mistyeve
Dear John----Sounds like you have the wisdom to know the difference between responsible and irresponsible. That is a good thing!!! Thanks for stopping by!!! Mistyeve
Dear Arlene----I like how you broke it down to can I be responsible for this or can't I??? When you say you are gonna do something you do it!!! If you can't do it then don't be responsible to get it done. Honesty is very compatible with responsible Thanks for stopping by! Good to hear from you!-----Mistyeve

During my drinking days there was a song called "Call Me Irrespnsible" - I could always identify with that! But, my signature song was "What Kind Of Fool Am I" Looks like the HP was sending me a message even in those days Tiger

Dear Misty Eve
Before my depressions real got hold of me I was very responsible. Still all I had to do was take a drink and nothing mattered but the next drink. Today with help from my Doctor and AA I can be responsible.
Have another good 24 hours everybody!!
Love&Hugs

Dear Tiger---In the early days of my recovery my sponsor would play the song "My Way" by Frank Sinatra. She claimed that was the theme song for alkies. Music can and does give me direction. So glad you could stop by today! Good to hear from you Honey!----Mistyeve
Dear Jimmy---Sure is good seeing you stop by and talk about the chip of the day. I am glad to hear that your getting medical help. We can't play doctor in AA. We leave that up to the professionals. Thanks for stopping by!------Mistyeve

For the most part I am responsible, although some may see it often as being irresponsible. I am not making committments unconditionally these days, it is always God willing and with the understanding that my health comes first. Today I practice self-care, and with fibromyalgia, I never know how my health is going to be from one day to the next.

Dear Caressa----When there are health issues involved my opinion is to put FIRST THINGS FIRST. I have to be feeling decent before I can take on any responsibility. Just my own opinions. Thanks for stopping by----Mistyeve
