I am stubborn about making it over to the 10:30am John Doe group. It is the group where I heard about the pokers chips about 7 years ago. I took some pictures to finish up the film on my camera and I promised I would bring them into the meeting to show everyone. Are you willing or stubborn? Please let me know! Thanks!----Mistyeve

Well in today, I am willing. When I remember when, I can see that I had willfulness.
In today, I stubbornly refuse to pick up a drink or any other mind altering substance. In the past, I stubbornly refused to admit I had a problem, with drink or anything else.
When I am willing to turn my day over to my Higher Power, I don't need to be stubborn about anything, because He directs my path. If He leads me to it, He will see me through it.

I always love that prayerful thought Caressa...If He leads me To it, he will lead me THROUGH it. That thought has carried me along so many times.
I am willing to do my part...willing to go that extra mile. My boss at my part time job said Thursday that she wanted the center decorated more "elegantly". We are only allowed to spend $25 a season on the decorations. I got the call last nigth that was what she said. And I have to be at the center at 7 AM. I am in charge of the decorating. What did I do? I went to wal mart at 3 AM. I bought silk flowers, a valentine vase, a valentine dish and red flat pebbles...little bear statue, wreath, wired ribbon a few more lacy decorations, and two pretty valentine candles. I spent almost $40 of that $25 I will get back. I came home and made a valentine wreath to hang in the bathroom. I am WILLING to go that extra mile to give her a touch of elegance. A heart shaped candle covered in pearls is pretty elegant, if you ask me. I am WILLING to do similar things for my recovery groups, my other job, my church, etc.
I dont have to be stubbron any more. I can go with the flow and take it easy. I can accept more of what is happening around me than I used to. No need to be stubbron about it since I can't change it.
LIN

Dear Caressa----Yeah the phrase God see me to it and will see me thru it is real powerful. We have a slogan that is similar:Let Go and Let God. I need to be willing to let go and trust that God will take care of it. Thanks for stopping by Mistyeve
Dear Lin---Your boss is your boss sounds very ambivelant. She wants classy but is real cheap at the same time. She sounds like she wants something for nothing!!! I hope she appreciates what an excellent employee you are!!! Thanks for stopping by----Mistyeve
