I give thanks and praise to God all thru the day. I ask God to show me the way to be a better person. I've got no right to criticize God for NOT doing things my way. I think God should make the weather warmer, people more courteous, and time move faster during the week and slower during the weekend. God is gonna do things in his time and way. Do you praise or criticize??? Please let me know! Thanks-Mistyeve

You can catch more flies with honey than vinegar. I heard that from my grandmother growing up. And she taught me to me nice to people..to appreciate them and let them know that i do. She taught me to always say something nice or nothing at all.
But my parents often criticised. I heard that more often than the GOOD stuff from my grandmother because she lived a few hours away. It was like mixed messages. I grew up doing both.
today I see that the way the criticism made me feel, is not how i wish to make oothers feel. Both of my jobs give me thousands of opportunities to praise. I can build up the self esteem of others. I can help others know i care. I can help others know they matter. I can help others know they are worthwhiel. And even if they are getting criticism from another person, I can be that gentle voice of my grandmother, liftingt hem up.

Praising God,there are times I don't understand his message,or what he wants me to do and I want to be critical, but he does things in his time not mine and I have to understand that.I also have to be carefull what I pray for.

Dear Lin---It sounds like you had a wonderful Grandma! Her words live on in your mind and that is the sign of a great person in my opinion. My Grandpa told me that love and memories are the only 2 things that last and go on and on. Thanks for stopping by!----Mistyeve
Dear John----It's interesting that you say confusion can bring on criticism. I never thought of it like that but it sure makes a lot of sense. So glad you could stop by today and talk about this chip! Mistyeve

I like the slogan we have here in Canada, "Utilize, don't criticize."
If I find fault with something, I need to look at the fact that it takes one to know one, and that I need to take that understanding and use it to make changes in my own life, to come out of my denial, and work on my own issues instead of focusing on those of the people around me.
This can also apply to the goodness that I see in others and knowing that it also is within myself, and if I don't feel it, then I can affirm my self-worth and self-respect by acknowledging.
