I am to busy to be lazy, between work school and homework I have a full plateand when I have some time to take a break and watch a tv show I feel guilty. If your doctor tells you to rest because your sick, then your not really being lazy, just recovering. get well soon! Its not good for me to have to much time on my hands because then I start thinking and my alcoholic mind can be a dangerous place to be!

Good Morning Mistyeve,
Active/lazy
For the most part I am active, but now after being in the program my activity is different. It is geared to MY recovery and things I need for my sanity. Prior to recovery it was always doing everything for everyone else.... enabling big time. From sewing on buttons to washing windows. Now I draw the line where and how much I can do. I am responsible for me and my recovery. No one else is going to keep me sane, no one else can work my program, no one else can provide me with the serenity that I need. So I am an actively recovering codependent.
Love & God Bless Arlene
PS Feel better & take your medicine!

When it's doctor's orders, you have a right to be "lazy" Even if i stay home sick, I stay busy. I watch a movie I've been saving to watch, I read a book, I catch up on correspondence or laundry. Things ike a sore throat and no voice make it where I can't work very well, but I can still watch tv, read, and monotor the laundry. Jsut me...multitasker that I am. You shoudl ahve seen then try to hold me down when I had a broken ankle and had to miss work the first 2 weeks! I even drove the car! lol
Like john, I am too busy with my life not to be active. Today I will go to hardees at 5, the gym at 5:30, school a little after 6. At 3 I leave school, then to the doctor's office for my first of 2 years of daily shots, back home in time to change clothes to go lead my Weigth Watchers meeting. I have to be there by 4:30. When i get home about 7 I'll be ready to crash. yesterday was nearly the same...but instead of the doctors office i ahd an hour and a half faculty meeting between jobs.
I am very much an "active" person. I stay busy...multitask even when resting, And I get lots accomplished. I never sleep in...not even if i dont have to go to work. I can't remember the last time I slep past 5 Am. 5 Am was when I was sick and had a fever. But i Do go to bed earlier than most folks. (usually 7:30 to 8:30) My normal time to wake up is between 1 and 3.
I hope you feel better very soon!
LIN

Dear Arlene---I think its great that you can draw the line on what you will & won't do for others. Its a good way to NOT feel like a door mat or being taken advantage of. I appreciate your Get Well Wishes and thanks for stoppin by to talk about this chip! Hugs & Thanks--Mistyeve
Dear John---You sure have made a big improvement in your life! I'm so glad to hear that you are busy & accomplishing some goals. I know what ya mean about thinking too much!!! I have been real morbid and planning my funeral. You are right about an alkie's mind being a real dangerous neighborhood!!! So glad you could stop by!----Mistyeve
Dear Lin---Your idea of being lazy is most peoples idea of an active day!!! LOL You sure do have a full and busy day. I really admire how you can get so much done. It has to be a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. I am glad you find time to stop by and talk about the chip of the day! Hugs & Thanks!!! Mistyeve

My father told me I was born lazy and for many years I blamed him! I also used it as an excuse not to do.
My biggest problem is giving myself permission to be lazy and take a time out. As you all know, I have no problem about being lazy when it comes to housework, but other things is another matter. I can use other things not to do housework.
My favorite line is still actively lazy when it is good for me.

I am usually pretty active when I can be. Whats the drawback of my fibro that makes me lazy that really gets to me. I can remember a few years ago I was always on the go and on top of everything from housecleaning to going out and have fun, now it has become a challange to do that but, when I have my good days as I call it, I try to be as active as I can be for how ever long I am able to, and that to me is a good days work done. [glow=red,2,300]Get well Misty ![/glow]

Dear Caressa----It sounds like you like to choose which activities are worth being active about. I like the way you describe it as being "actively lazy" That is real clever Thanks for stopping by!---Mistyeve

Dear DG---Good to hear from you! I like to Quote a line from a Led Zepplin song "good times bad times ya know I've had my shrare" They really knew how to put a phrase together! Yeah when ya have to live with a physical sickness you have to take the good & the bad. Thanks for stopping by! Glad you could talk on the chip today----Mistyeve
