I have been real sick for the past few days and I have been asking God if I am gonna live or die. I tend to be a little bit dramatic when I am sick. Are you self centered or God centered??? Please let me know! Thanks----Mistyeve

Dear John---You are using the formula "what it used to be like-what happened-& what its like now" It is a good thing to be able to compare the past to the present cuz it helps ya recognize the progress you've made. Thanks for stopping by!-----Mistyeve
Dear DG---God Centered is a great way to be. The Higher Power has things in store for me that I could never even imagine. Thanks for stopping by! Good to hear from you! Mistyeve

Self centered? When i have been that way was when I wanted my way and it did not happen to be GOD's way. I ran into roadblocks. I got frustrated. That was my signal to step back and look...usually me wanting my way.
The last time that happend was last summer. A very young cousin died and left three children under the age of 12. She had asked us to raise them if something happened, but she never told the rest of her family or wrote it down. The youngest one had a dad who took him. The two older ones...their dad was too far into drugs to take them. I tried to get the middle boy to come and live with us. I wanted it badly. Not sure if was being self-centered to want to take on a huge responsibility or not, but it was MY will trying to get in the way of GOD's will. The girl had a boyfreind and I knew she'd not move. The roadblocks were very painful. The threats from the family...the cussings i got for wanting to take him to another state(that is a 15 minute drive by car). I backed off and let his 76 year old grandmother take them in. Only until I allowed GOD to do what was best for the kids at that time, did I find any peace. (they still have never been to court to get it official as guardianship)
Most days my life is quite GOD centered. I praise him for his awesomeness. I thank him for the things he has given me. I petition him for things i want. I talk to him and listen. I give my day to GOD...ask him to guide me in what I say and do.

Dear Lin----I like your formula for figuring out if it is God's will or your will. God's will is smooth and simple and easy My will is road blocks and pot holes. Sometimes me and God are on the same page and then it is comfortable and right for both of us. My head is real clear but my body is still weak and tired and doin all kinds of disgusting stuff so it is God & me in agreement that I let myself stay home and get better. Thanks for stopping by Honey!------Mistyeve

Good Morning Mistyeve,
God centered for sure. When I can't any longer, God can, So I let Him. Steps 1,2,3. He will guide me through all the aches pains and troubles in my heart. Just being one with a Higher Power lifts me out of the doldrums.
Love ya and God Bless Arlene

Dear Arlene---In my early days of program I was told to make an actual can for a God Can. It is a empty coffee can covered in pretty paper with a slot cut into the snap on plastic lid. The can has a label on it with the words GOD CAN! My God likes to be invited. I ask to have him look at all my troubles that I have written on paper and put into the GOD CAN. The one that has stayed in there for over 20 yrs now says God Can---keep me clean and sober today! When ya name it & claim it & dump it amazing stuff happens! God Can so let him.... Hope this helps. Best Wishes---- Mistyeve & Bugs Bunny too!

For me, if I take the time to talk to God each morning and ask for good orderly direction for that day, then the day is God-centered. What ever is in front of me, is sent by my Higher Power, whether it be a lesson to learn or relearn.
I am given freedom of choice, to walk with God or walk without Him. Just for today, I choose to have him a part of my life.
