I'm grateful these chips are posted one at a time this weekend. The last 2 weekends I posted when I sw the chips and then had no chips for 2 days.
Also glad to hear you are finally feeling bettter.
When i found recovery everybody was talking abtou GRATITUDE. There were even computer made signs on the wall like WITH AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE. For the life of my i could not imagine why a person would be grateful to be sitting in those rooms...they had several kinds of meetings there. Why be grateful you are an alcoholic? why be grateful your friend or family member was???
I soon learned the gratitude is in spite of the disease. i learned to be grateful for the little things in my life and keep those grateful feelings in the front of my mind. Then the crappy days and crappy incidents were not such a downer. I then learned to thank my HP for things i was suddenly seeing for the first time in years such as sunsets, moons, rainbows, birds, flowers. I could be grateful to see and hear all of these things. I learned to find the good in people and situations in my life and being grateful helped me find happiness. The first time i was on the pity pot my sponsor asked me to make a gratitude list. She even gave me a little journal to write it in. I did. it helped. I referred back to it from time to time and always added more tot he list. it was amazing how using the LIST helped me find out my life was not so bad.

Dear Lin---The gratitude list is a real strong tool in both programs. I can really put things into perspective when I look at or add to my gratitude list. The God Can also helps with gratitude. When I realize that I can't but God Can it is another break thru with my feeling of gratitude. Thanks for stopping by!----Mistyeve

I'm with you Lildee, without this program, I wouldn't have a life to be grateful for.
They say a day can start anytime, although I think I missed a few hours somewhere.
After I came home from shopping with a friend today, I was very grateful that I had a bed to go to, that I was alone, and could sleep until I chose to wake up.
