I try to be polite and cover my mouth or nose when I sneeze and cough. Some of the guys in service area sneeze and spray the whole area. It is real rude and also a good way to spread germs. Are you rude or polite? Please let me know! Thanks----Mistyeve

I'm with John on this one. If i treat othes as i want to be treated, I am polite. It's not so easy when somebody is rude to me first, but i STILL try.
I did a favor for my jerk brother recently and he was quite rude about it. I replied as politely as I could. I had a snippy email from a co-worker recently and I replied to her quite politely also.
Being polite takes no more energy than being rude. I always try to thank somebody who lets me in front of them in traffic, who holds a door for me, who lets me in front in line when i have 2 items in arms and they ahve a buggy full. Tha't only politel. And in turn, i try to do those things for others when the situation is turned the other way around.

Good Morning Mistyeve, Rude/polite For the most part I would say that I am polite and show respect to others. But there is an instance where my politeness tends to wane..... when I feel that I am being taken advantage of. For example the workers are busy redecorating our hallways, new paint, carpeting, fixtures and so on. I have being complaining to the MGMT of the building for years that I have trouble with my front door sticking. The maintenence men come and look at it and see it sticking and say it "needs to be filed down." Now with the new paint I practically need a crowbar to open my door. It just irks me that no one wants to accept that responsibility for doing the work. So today I am going to the main office and report this. Hopefully I can remain polite and keep my cool. It seems like I am having troouble this week with the services that I pay for. Well this to shall pass. Love & God Bless Arlene

Dear Lin---I think it is real hard to continue to be polite to a person who has been rude to me. I usually just walk away or on a real good day tell them "I'M SORRY YOU FEEL THAT WAY" I was told that this is assertive (not passive or aggressive) It can be done but I got to admit I don't always do it! Thanks for stoppin by!---Mistyeve
Dear Arlene---I agree with you when you are PAYING to get work done you should have a say in how it is done. My boss at work never hesitate to tell me how to do things and neither should you! You go girl go!!! Best of Luck!!!! Mistyeve

Rudeness never got me anywhere in life. Today in recovery, it isn't an option. I also refuse to be a recipient of it.
Today I was polite to my friend and gave him a choice as to whether he wanted to come over and have me cough in his face or stay home and come over another day.
It would be rude of me to have him over just because I like the pleasure of his company, I needed to think of him and his welfare.
