I don't like to call my putting off Procrastinating, I call it taking a slight "vacation" I know when I do this, I tend to feel guilty and I don't know why I should even feel that way to begin with.

Dear DG----There is an animal called a sloth. He is a slow moving sloppy pig. He is named after one of the 7 Deadly Sins---Sloth. In my opinion sloth is related to procrastination which is sloth in lots more sylables. Too much information??? LOL The chips are on character defects that I feel could screw up my program and my life. Did I make any sense? Hope so! Thanks so much for stoppin by.....Mistyeve

I'd like to claim I'm on the 'do it' side of the coin..LOL But alas and alack, I opted to 'take that vacation' yesterday. I got a bit self indulgent and didn't wanna BE responsible.....and now I get to be responsible for creating my own mess...LOL
I tell ya, when it's MEMEME doing the deciding and not G-d making the arrangments, it'll happen for me EVERY TIME! *chuckling*
TODAY I'll purpose to be on the 'do it!' side of the coin and not bother to put off 'doing'.
Yep, my troubles are of my own making....LOL

Wonderful to hear from GRACED!
I am definitely a DO IT person. But yestereday I procrastinated. I was sick. I had fever and chills and I waited until the fever got to 103 to go to the doc. I kept thinking it was jsut a sinus infection and tylenol would do the trick. No such luck. Full blown FLU.
So today I am staying in bed. It's after 10 Am and I jsut had my shot. I susually dot hat about 3 or 4. I've not even had breakfast and that's not like me. I dont feel good enough to fix anything.
I posted in ACOA that I cant be there tongiht. I do hope somebody will step up and DO IT.
LIN

I admit to being a 'do it' person, but the things that I do just may not be the things I should be doing. It is amazing how many things can up up which you can give priority to above things you just know you 'should' be doing.
I procrastinate for many years and then proceeded to beat myself up for it. Today I don't do that. It was nice to have a friend affirm this. She said, "When you are working Step Eleven in your life, then maybe, just as much as you think you should be doing something, just maybe God has other plans." If it is meant to be done, you will do it. It may be late, and it may be later, God doesn't always have the same time table. He will give me the energy and the direction I need. I had to learn that sometimes all the players are present, all the parts may not be yet assembled, and that timing is everything.
