I am greedy about getting a good night sleep. If one of my neighbors wakes me up in the middle of the night I get real mad and will sometimes go over and let them know that they woke me up. I am a generous person with my time and my energy. If I can be of help I will do it. Are you greedy or generous? Please let me know!------Mistyeve

I am very much on the generous side of this chip. I give of my time and my talents and my treasures. I give til it hurts. I mentioned that my spouse lost his hearing aid. We have to pay the $1,500 replacement cost. The bill for my new furniture came in. Instead of telling him to figure out where to find the money to pay for his carelessness, I got out some old rings and earrings and gave them to him to sell. I have rings on 8 fingers now. Why do i need those other 6 rings? it reminded him that he had some rings with diamonds or gold coins in them at the bank. he thinks he can get enough to pay off the hearing aid and maybe some on the furniture. I was saving them to give to neices, but this is now and it can't wait.

LOL And here I am STILL telling on myself! When I moved to this house I was thinking how wonderful it was to have so few things to move to dust around. "Simplicity is GREAT" "LESS is better!" Took me dang near all Sunday to dust three rooms in this house! Yep, if some is good MORE is better. I still suffer from the syndrome....LOL Instead of handing over some unneeded something to a child who hasn't got it, I go out and purchase her a new thing?! Cuz LORD knows I might just need that darn potato smasher that hasn't been used in HOW long?! Oy... Oh, I guess that's generous inasmuch as I saw fit to buy her one--but honestly, what drove that decision was all about ME! So, I'm still greedy and possessive about the darndest things. Oh....and I'm still defiant in a lot of areas too! LOL DARN good thing G-d's very patient with me, eh?

My Very Dear Lin Honey---You are an inspiration and a great example. I think you made your hubby realize that cuz he followed your lead. It sounds to me like you have your priorities in order. Your neice can visit you and sit on new furniture rather then wear a ring and sit on the floor. Your husband can hear you say "I Love You" in words NOT sign language. I applaud your thinking on this situation.... You melt my heart honey!---Mistyeve
Hey John---maybe if ya ever do get the time and the money you can do this chip to the max!!!----Mistyeve
Dear Amazing Grace----I am amazed at all the similarities we have in common. I was told early on to look at the similarities NOT the differences. It takes me forever to dust and I downsized moving into this apartment!!! I have lots of sentimental stuff (including a grabber thing that was Grandma's) I probably keep God smiling too!!! I hear that if ya want to make God Laugh Out Loud ya tell him your plans!!! Thanks so much for stoppin by today! I needed to hear what ya had to say Honey!--Mistyeve

Zen has always said it best for me. He says greed is not being satisified with what we have and always wanting that more.
Lack of acceptance generally brings me to a place of greed and anger, which means I am not getting what I think I need.

Dear Caressa---You mentioned some good ideas. I agree with you that lack of acceptance can make me feel angry and greedy. These are 2 real bad defects to deal with. Thanks for stopping by----Mistyeve
