I put up some Easter decorations a few weeks ago. It was fun tying plasic eggs to the bushes. It made the yard look like spring and Easter. I have to take them down now and it is a real chore. How come it is a lot more fun to decorate then to take it down? I'm procrastinating and I need to just do it and get it done. Do you procrastinate or do it? Please let me know! Thanks!----Mistyeve

I dont mind taking down decorations. They have usually been up long enough by the time. And I can start to decorate for the NEXT holiday. lol
procrastinating? Not me. If it's totally up to me when something gets done it gets donw ASAP. I dont like to put things off because then the pile ane job gets bigger. Why should i cause myself to have more work???
I get alot of things accomplished by making lists of what needs to be done. I am off for Spring break all week. you shloud SEE my list. it's as far ahead as wrapping wedding gifts for a wedding in June and another in Aug. I bought the paper a few minutes ago so THAT job is today.
Count me DO IT.

It is a bit early to decide, but I think it looks like this will be a do it day. Mind you, if I don't get to bed and get some beauty sleep, that may be a different story.
I went to bed at 10:30 p.m. which is unheard of for me, and woke up at 1:40 a.m. This was after I lay down for an afternoon nap at 1 a.m. and woke up at 5 p.m.
So my body was saying don't do it yesterday, today remains to be seen. My friend is coming over at 1 p.m. and I hope I can sleep before then. I hope my body doesn't decide to procrastinate about going to sleep.
LOL!!!

Dear Lin---The feeling of accomplishment is just great for the self esteem. I always feel so good when I can get a list of things done. The next holiday that I would decorate for is 4th of July and it might be just a little too early for that!!! LOL Thanks for stopping by Honey!----Mistyeve
Dear Caressa----It is real important to get some sleep. The program talks about HALT and being tired can be dangerous. I hope you get all straightened out. Thanks for stopping by----Mistyeve

*chuckling* We've got a few of those houses dotted around town with X-mas lights still up. One or two of them will have them still up come the 4th of July..LOL Not this house--I think we're anal retentive (okay, I'M anal retentive) about decorating for holidays! Bunny Day is down already--and we're pretending spring has arrived with new decorations. (darn snow....)
Delaying the doing only means I'm apt to forget it...LOL (and no, that's not about old age!....hopefully..) I do make lists--but I confess....I lose lists all the time! LOL Tried sticky notes and lost those--figured it was the pastel colours so I tried bright yellow ducky stickey notes and lost THOSE! Oy... Even tried a notepad on the computer. Having THAT open up everytime I logged on only served to irritate me so I closed the program and called it G-d's will for me to not remember and to just enjoy whatever was put in front of me. *chuckling* See how that works!? Miraculously, things DO get done and what doesn't--wellllllllll...perhaps it wasn't that darn important?
Face it, where I am today is a whole lot better than cancelling the day's responsibilities so I could go about the business of creating some false reality that I was 'entitled to'.
I'll do whatever G-d puts in front of me today...plus some that's leftover...LOL.....if I can find the list....LOL

Good morning Mistyeve,
Me I am a do it person. It is a little after 8 Am and I have three loads of wash done and mopped three floors.
But I am having trouble with my younger girl. She procrastinates big time. She will wait until sunday night at 9 PM to get 6 loads of wash done. (the laundry room closes at 11.) So she winds up going to three different floors to get it done.
We ordered a new bed for her and the new one is coming Wed. The room has to be cleaned up and everything out of the way. Frankly I am tired of telling her to clean it up. She is really pushing my buttons on this one with her procrastination. I am not a hard nose about their rooms. Cuz I can shut the door and block it off. But this is a major pain coming close to breaking my serenity on this one. I have said my peice more than once if the room is not cleaned up the bed will wind up going back and she can sleep on the floor !!! Nuff said. Sorry for the vent but this one is getting my gander up.
Love & God Bless Arlene

Dear Graced----You are so funny!!! You make a list so ya don't forget & then ya forget the list! I'm thinking you don't have problems with procrastination at all! It is the "ism" incredibily short memory! I know the "ism" kicks in for me all the time! So good to hear from you! Thanks for stopping by-------- Mistyeve
Dear Arlene---You have every right to vent over what is happening. It's messing up the smooth running of your household. She has to learn to be considerate. Bill W. claims that procrastination is just sloth in 5 syllables and sloth is one of the 7 deadly sins so this is serious stuff. They don't call 'em deadly for nothing! Hope things will work out for ya. Thanks for stopping by Honey!-----Mistyeve
Dear DG----Hey I am glad if you are messing with the computer that ya take time to come over and visit!!! Good to hear from ya! Thanks for stopping by!-----Mistyeve
