Today is 21 years since my last drink or drug. They say if ya don't remember your last drunk then
ya haven't had it. I am soooooooo
grateful to be sober and alive today!!!! I could be better and it
could be worse so I will just stop and think I am grateful for how it
is right now. Are you grateful or
ungrateful? Please let me know!!!

COngrats on your 21 years! I hope the celebration went well. One of my friends in AA a long time said in her area you can't get your chip until the exact day...not 2 days before. I guess all areas are different on that rule.
grateful? I remember when my sponsor told me to make a gratitude list to get over a puty party. I grumbled the whole time, but did it. And it WORKED. Whenever i started to feel depressed or down I got it out and read it. I always added a few more. it's amazing how when we find things to be grateful for...even about the crappy parts...things seem so much brighter.
Very grateful alanon here today.

Dear Lin----The meetings I go to say is there anyone with an AA anniversary today or this week? I think some people may not be able to go to a meeting on the exact day
of their anniversary so thats why it is done that way. The gratitude
list is a very powerful tool. I've updated mine many times cuz things change or my view of them changes.

presentation but it happened anyway
not because of them but in spite of
them. IT could of been better and

Gratitude is an attitude I try to take daily. Without it, I am only hurting myself and it is my belief, if I don't come from a place of love and gratitude, I am acting out in my disease.
When I am not grateful, I end up with an attitude that needs adjusting.
I am grateful for the gifts given to me over the years, especially grateful for the people who have been put in my path, here and elsewhere.

Dear Caressa----There a couple of quick
slogans about gratitude that really help
to keep me on track. An attitude of gratitude---Can't be hateful if you're grateful. These quickies are a fast fix
for me when my gratitude starts to fade
