I have a dentist appt after work today and I should try to hit an evening meeting in the neighborhood if at all possible. I get so tired and that is different from lazy. Do you feel active or lazy? Please let me know! Thanks-----Mistyeve

Hi again Mistyeve,
Knocking off 2 birds at once !!!
Active for sure. As a stay at home mom I am pretty busy. Filling the roles of many professions. There was just a report on the news about what stay at home moms would make if they got paid for all the jobs they do.....
Day-Care Center Teacher, Van Driver ,Housekeeper, Cook, CEO, Nurse, General Maintenance Worker Base Salary (40 hours) $43,461 Overtime (60 hours) $88,009
Mom's Total Salary $131,471
(Not to mention spiritual and psychological consultant).
Not a bad job for no pay, no 401K, no pension, no medical coverage. Just to see those first smiles, first steps, change into the responsible young adult that you helped along the way.
Yeah it is a busy, active job but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Sure some of it feels like slave labor but a lot of it is food for the soul. The cuts, scraps, bruises, tears, smiles and giggles, popcorn at 2 AM, all that I was part of. Like the Master Card commercial .... it's priceless.
Love & God Bless Arlene

I just read the email about the salaries for a stay at home mom. I dont stay at homeand I'm not sure 3 dogs qualifies me for MOM, but I am quite active. I have two jobs. I am always on the go.
Yesterday...up at 3, went to wal martto shop for some prizes for an upsoming field day at school, then hardees at 5, school at 6...all day teaching including a 3 hour field trip, as soon as school was over, faculty meeting until 4. Home for a quick supper and download the pictures I took on the field trip and sent them in 4 batches to some people who put them on web pages, etc. Then off to my other job at 5...left there at 6:30 to go to a PTO meeting for school. Home at 8. Today is jsut as busy. During the few minutes i have at home i do laundry, cooking, cleaning, shopping, erands, pay bills, etc.
I honestly had no energy before i lsot weight a couple of years ago. That has really given my more ability to BE ACTIVE.
I am rarely lazy. I never sleep past 4 AM...rarely watch a TV show without checking papers or exercising or working on lesson plans and flip charts. I am a multitasker for sure.
Definitely ACTIVE.
LIN

My Very Dear Arlene---I used to go to a Saturday morning meeting with a woman who was a stay home mom. She said she would get real "bristly" at people who said "but what is your real job?" she came right out and said "I got the most important job in the world!" she would look them right in the eye and say "I turn little people into big people" Hey I can't argue with that! You are right honey! It is priceless! Thanks so much for stopping by------Mistyeve
Dear Lin---I get tired just reading about your schedule. I have gained some extra weight with doing "comfort food" and just not burning it off like I used to. You might be on to something with why I am so tired all the time....Hmmmmmmmmmmmm Thanks for stopping by with some food for thought. Mistyeve
Dear John----You are gonna have to live on memories of being lazy cuz from what I understand going to college, working, keeping a household together, & finding some time for your girlfriend are gonna keep you real active. Good Luck!!! Mistyeve

Today I have had a lazy day because I have an active evening. At least mentally active, going to play bridge! LOL.
Actively cooking myself some honey and garlic ribs and hopefully that will be a good thing.

It paid off, we came in second. Near the end our brains got lazy and we got too sure of ourselves I think, and we made errors. Still 54% is good, and I can't take away from that. My partner and I have only played together about three times this year.
