I hope it will be a peaceful and serene Mothers Day today. I wish all you mothers out there a happy day today. I am going to see my Mom and take her out for lunch with my sisters this afternoon. I sure hope the restaurant isn't chaotic. We can only hope! Are you serene or chaotic? Please let me know! Thanks!------Mistyeve

i have people in my life who seem to seek chaos and if they cant' find it they create it. So i definitely do have chaos in my life. The cool part is...I use my tools like aceptance, live and let live, serenity prayer, detachment, letting go, how important is it??? and i am able to maintain serenity in spite of the chaos.
A restaurant being chaotic would not bother me. If there is over a 45 min. wait for a table when i get there, i'll jsut find a different restaurant. no porblem.

Dear Lin----Mom is 75 years old and has arthritis all thru her body. Her leg is really bad right now and she can barely walk. She is too proud to use a cane, walker, or a wheel chair so I am her human cane. We have to find a restaurannt that has no stairs and that she can walk right in and sit right down. There are only a few like that right near where she lives and she is real fussy about where she goes. She has one place in particular that she goes to and they all know her name and take special care of her. We end up going there. I just about have the menu memorized but thats okay. I am so glad someone else is doing the cooking. Thanks for stopping by Hang onto that serenity today!!! Good Luck-----Mistyeve

Dear John----When things are chaotic for me I try to remember the slogan HALT and take care of it and that does seem to help. Best of Luck to you!!! You are in my thoughts and prayers-----Mistyeve

Had a good day. Phone calls from two of my unofficially adopted daughters. A visit from my son and his girlfriend. A trip to Canadian Tire for my mother's day present, my choice, a new Swiffer Wet Mop and two new cookie sheets.
I then went to visit with my aunt's friend, who is 89 and had dinner with her. A late afternoon nap and a night of one of my favorite shows, "What Not To Wear" and now I am ready for some peaceful sleep in preperation for starting school tomorrow.
Hope everyone had a good Mother's Day.
