We are finally having a streak of nice summertime weather and it is easy to thank God for the beautiful warm weather and the chance to NOT have to have a coat!!! I guess the idea of no coat is self centered... Are you God Centered or self centered??? Please let me know!!! Thanks-----Mistyeve

I try to make my life very GOD centered. I pray often each day, I ask my HP to make me an instrument of HIS will this day. Then I do the legwork of the things i THINK he wants me to do . If i hit a roadblock, it alerts me i made a wrong turn when following HIS roadmap.
I try not to get the MEMEME syndrome. Not everything is about ME. Recently I've been very disappointted in EOR. The message baords are not getting much traffic and the meetings are nearly non-existent. I work hard to pick a topic, post it, prepare for it, and show up, but we dont get many to the meetings. Friday we ahd zero and Sunday i had one. Am i thinking of MEMEME to want the meetings to succeed? Am i being self-centered when i think i picked the worng topic, or my meetings are jsut not helpful? Or should I realize this time of year there are proms parents ahve to work around, gradualtions, ballgames, and mother's day weekend with family gatherings???If i remind myself for THIS weekend, what abut next? maybe 5 years is enough. I dont know. Maybe the members here are tired of my meetings. Am i taking it personally when they dont show up? perhaps. I can't force people to like me or to like my meetings enough to make them a priority.

Morning MIsyeve,
Definetly God centered, who travels with me continuously throughout each day. But along with God in my life there are also other aspects of life that need care just as much..... family time, play time, and work time. Keeping the proper balance is imperitive to my recovery and being mindful of the priorities in my life.
As the old saying goes... "Life on Life's terms..... you gotta do what you gotta do.
Love & God Bless Arlene

Dear Lin---These are just my own opinions!!!! THIS SITE IS TOO d**n DIFFICULT TO GET REGISTERED ON!!! I have had at least 1/2 dozen people tell me that is was hell trying to get into this site and they just gave up after a long struggle. In AA we try to be INCLUSIVE NOT EXCLUSIVE!!! Why can't the web master make it less hassle to sign up and be able to post???? IT IS A PROGRAM OF ATTACTRATION NOT OF PROMOTION!!! People will come in if they are attracted NOT forced to come in. PRINCIPLES BEFORE PERSONALITIES--they have to want it not necessarily need it. There are other reasons too like the ones that you mentioned so we either have to try to change or accept.... Thanks for stopping by Honey I am always glad to hear from you!!!! Mistyeve

Misty...you dont even have to register for the meetings. Youmake up a username and dont even need a passwr4od. There is that problem of needing an up to date JAVA, but the chat meetings dont need to be registered like the message baords do.
Perhaps a not to shellie in the suggestion category woudl help.
