I sent an Elton John t-shirt to a friend of mine who lives in Canada. I procrastinated about going to the post office cuz I am greedy about my time. You have to fill out specail papers and wait in line. I got it done and feel generous about doing it. Are you greedy or generous??? Please let me know! Thanks------Mistyeve

Morning Mistyeve,
Generous/ greed
Definetely generous. Sometimes generous to the point where I can be taken advantage of. Giving too much to those around me. A helping hand is one thing but when it becomes a chore that is another matter. Then I can build resentments and I don't want to go there. So I try to keep my generosity in balance.
Love & God Bless Arlene

Definitely on the generous side. I give freely of my time, talents and treasures.
When my classroom needs something and the school cant afford it right now, i buy it. That has included, VCR, CD players, overhead projectors, cart for the projector, And a huge bookcase full of books for the AR library. (even bought three bookcases.) I want my kids to have what they need and my school is "poor" when it comes to funding.

Dear John---It is good that you stretch out your hand. The AA credo says "LET IT BEGIN WITH ME" Thanks for stopping by!---Mistyeve
Dear Arlene----I think you really hit on something very important! To have a balance and not to go too far one way or the other. I need to be reminded of that all the time cuz I can be real extreme at times. Thanks for stopping by!----Mistyeve
Dear Lin---I am always amazed at how parochial schools are so poor. They charge a tuition to go there and it is supposed to cover all the expenses. I think they need to have a better book keeping dept. This is just my own opinion!!! Thanks for stopping by----Mistyeve

Today I went to a meeting, the first f2f in a long time. My soul was very greedy and I am glad that the people at the meetings were generous with their smiles and hugs.
A long-timer celebrated 36 years in recovery and that made it even better. He lost his wife just over a year ago and it was good to see how much he has healed. They were very close and it was difficult for him but he didn't have to pick up. He carries a great message.

Dear Caressa----There is nothing like a face to face meeting. You really get to soak up what ya need if it is a look a touch a word of encoragement or all of the above. I think there is magic in meetings and that meeting makers make it!!! Thanks for stopping by!----Mistyeve
