I try not to waste my time or money and this takes discipline. When I remember to keep my sobriety first in my life the rest of the things are able to fall into place. I was asked to add 2 more chips to the list making a grand total of 30!!! These chips are the only 2 of the 7 deadly sins that are NOT represented in this list. I feel that they should be added and want to ask what you think of adding the 2 chips of:Lust/Satisfied and Self Control/Gluttony. I was also asked to change the chip of anger/self control to anger/happy. What do you think of this??? Please let me know!!! Thanks----Mistyeve

Lust is a character defect? and here I thought it was an asset. anger/happy? how about anger/calm Lust/satisfied ? is satisfaction what comes after lust? inquiring minds want to know. Is the opposite of gluttony self control, or anorexia? Any way I think I am fairly disciplined and I get into routines of wanting things a certain way and if they are changed then I might get upset and have to accept the things I cannot change.

I have no problem with you wanting to add more chips.
The one that always gets me is SELF FORGETFUL. I think that one shoudl say THOUGHTFUL.
Disciplined>? yes. I do what I need to do and I take cre of what needs to be taken care of. I have purpose in my life and I follow the steps it takes to meet that purpose.

by the way...i do think self control is a better opposite to anger than HAPPY. Self control is being able to handle the anger is a positive way.

Good Morning Mistyeve,
I am going to start with the second one first.....
anger/.....
For me I think of self - control as more of an action when confronted by anger to divert it's negativity.
If I had to pick I would go with calm or content. IMHO.
As far as adding more chips go for it ! Great idea to cover all the Deadly sins.
-----------------------------
As for todays chip Disciplined/Undisciplined
I think I am fairly disciplined but that discipline has priorities. There are certain things in my life which take on a higher priority. Like family.... I refuse to shut my kids out for anything. The time that I spend with them is crucial. They only come behind one other and that is God. I think I manage to stay discipled because I have assessed my life and what is really important to me, my peace and my serenity. By prioritizing my needs my world is a lot calmer and peaceful.
Love & God Bless Arlene

Lust is a deadly that could be added but changing the one to happy as the opposite, makes me wonder,I don't feel happy is the absolute to that.Happy to me is state of mind, an adjective. But thats just my opinion. I tried to be disciplined with my organization

Hey Everybody!!!! I want to thank all of you very very much for giving me some insight on this possible chip change. I have spoke with 2 of my sponsors (past & present) They both think that the chips are already covered. The chip for MORAL covers LUST and the chip for GREED covers GLUTTONY. They both think that anger/self control is fine as it is...I really don't want to change anything cuz I think it is fine the way it is so If it ain't broke then don't fix it Thanks for all the feedback!!! Just want to let ya know what the choice is! Love & Hugs-----Mistyeve
