It has been real slow at work. I asked one of the secretaries what she thought about it. I expected her to say that it would pick up soon or we were just in a slump. She said to me "find another job" I don't know if she was joking or not so I am not so sure if she has humor or is humorless. Do you have humor or are you humorless??? Please let me know! Thanks-------- Mistyeve

It's good to find humor in our lives . I like being able to laugh about things at work. During the times I had no HP in my life...no program...I found very little to smile or laugh about. Often the only laugh I'd have all week was when one of the dogs did something funny. Today I can smile and alugh about alot of things. I can even laugh at myself. (years ago i thougth others were laughing at me, so I could NOT laugh at myself on top of that)
And Misty,.....she may or may not have been kidding abotu finding another job. But you dont need to worry about her comment. YOU know what you meant. When a person gives me an ugly remark about something, I try to tell myself: I don't know who peed in her Cheerios this mmorning. That helps me let it go and not take it personally. It's kinda like that old saying about I have not walked a mile in his moccasins. I have no ideda what this person is dealing with right now and their rudeness probably does nto ahve anything at all to do with ME.

Good Morning Mistyeve, There is humor. There is life. Without humor there is no "life." Without humor we would all be a bunch of sad sacks walking around in a depressed pathetic state. Yuck, what kind of world would that be? ?? Laughter is the world's best medicine. It should be supplied to all in very large doses. Love and God Bless Arlene

Dear Arlene----I have read in the Readers Digest Magazine that laughter is the best medicine. I really like that! It's funny cuz when ever I have a good laugh over a joke or just talking to someone who has a sense of humor it really makes me feel better. The Quote you posted is marvelous! Humor does console me when I feel low & depressed. Thanks so much for stopping by today!!!----Mistyeve

One of the greatest gifts of recovery has been the ability to laugh at myself and to see the difference between laughing with and laughing at.
Today I was laughing at my own antics, how it was my decisions that got me into the situation I was in and couldn't point the blame finger now how. Not much fun anyway when you know three is coming back at me.
