I am a stubborn person by nature and I need to use that stubborness to work for me instead of against me. I am gonna hang in there at work and if they want to fire me thats fine. I will collect unemployment but I won't quit. I got to get willing to look for another job whether I keep this one or not cuz I am just NOT making enough money to cover all my bills. Are you willing or stubborn? Please let me know! Thanks-----Mistyeve

HI Misty Are you willing or stubborn? is the question today, you are an early bird. For me it is still Sunday lol I was feeling kinda lost tonight and so popped in to the message baord here at EOR. I long to have it like it use to be (EOR), but we can't go back can we lol. I like to think that I am a very willing person, and do try to put my best foot word most of the time, but I am and have to admit I am a very stubborn person also. I in being and living sober have learned that I have to be willing to get or to have any thing in my life. Willinginess to beleive, to pray, the Willinginess do what I have to do to go forward, grrrrr the Willinginess to let go and let God, the Willinginess to keep coming back even when I don't wont to. The old timers say in the program, you have to die to live, let go to have, sarender to win, and give it away to be able to keep. The Willinginess is all of that, to beleive in myself I have to bleive in an HP first, THE Willinginess to do the foot work, to change, THE Willinginess to let some one in, to see you as you are inside of your skin. I guess it is all about Willinginess for me today. They say you get what you need when you need it the most, and here you are Miss Misty posting Mondays questiong on Sunday night for me to find. lol ya right I am so inportent. lol I miss you love you Kathleen

Wonderful to see a post by KATHLLEN! I do hope she will pop in more often!
I am willing to work my program...do the best I can and let my HP be in charge of the outcome. I am stubborn enough to hang on to my serenity by doing whatever it takes.
Rigth now I have been off my eating plan for a couple of weeks. End of the year brought jsut too many potluck, dinners out, receptions, celebrations. today i am BACK ON TRACK! (I have to an official 'weigh-in" for work and send it in within about 10 days. Gonna crack down!

Dear Lin----It's good that you can be stubborn about your health and eating habits. I think that is using stubborness to work for you and not against you. Thanks for stopping by!----Mistyeve

Good Morning Mistyeve,
Glad to see Kathleen pop by. Sure do miss you and your words of wisdom.
Stubborn yep for sure. But with that stubbornness is a willingness to surrender to a different way, especially since the old way wasn't working. Stubborn to keep my program going, stubborn to keep God in my life, stubborn to keep my priorities in order. Now my stubborness is of a positive nature.
Love & God Bless Arlene

Have always had a willingness, but had to channel it into priorities with my fibromyalgia. My school is the priority and even bridge has had to take a back burner.
I stubbornly refuse to give up the idea of not going to school, so I need to be willing to go to any length to accomplish the goal.
As you say, it can be a positive or a negative, depending on how I apply it to my life.

Smiling, my stubborn will took me to school and in the end, I recognized that I did my time and had no desire to go back into the rat race. In the long run, it was good because I leanred computer skills to build my sites, which are gone now, and come here and post. I went for a computer course and ended up with a certificate for Business Administration on computers. Like all alcoholics, according to the Big Book, we are over achievers. My father use to say that I was more contrary than stubborn. I would argue, not because I wanted to defend my cause, but to cause controversy because there was no way I was going to agree with the ex-husband or any one else for that matter. Heaven forbid that I would agree with you. Thanks to recovery, in today I can agree to disagree. In today, I am willing to compromise and allow you the right to your own opinion.

What a great flash back to 2005!!! It is like a time machine! LOL ironically that is what saved my computer from being a total mess! The hi tech guys (yes there were 2 of them) did what they call a system restore several times and it brought me and my computer back in action! So glad to be back!!! Bunnypie
