Do you pull these out of a bag at random or pick them for the date? God centered seems to pop up on Sundays often.
God centered is definitely me. The hardest part is thanking him and not questioning him for the tough times....like a 36 year old cousin who died a year ago today and left three children 14 and under. I have to have faith that HE neeeded her more than the rest of us.
The tough times I look to as growth opportunities. There is always somethig to learn.

Dear Lin----I have been using the chip list to do the chips. I gave my set away to someone in the program and have not got around to making another set for myself. The list makes sure all the chips are used and talked about.-----Mistyeve

Didn't realize this was done on rote. Thought they were being pulled in a spiritual manner for the day. That seems more God-Centered to me, just because it is the next one in order sounds Self-Centered.

Dear Lin---I have heard that God does things in his time and that he refuses to wear a wrist watch! Thanks for stoppin by!----Mistyeve
Dear John---To know the difference between self centered and God centered is a great awareness in my opinion. Thanks for stopping by!----Mistyeve
Caressa----Is that a criticism or just your opinion? The chips are being done this way cuz I gave my last set away. If they are made by hand it takes a long time. I just have not taken the time to do it so this is plan B. If it works don't fix it!!!!------Mistyeve

I made my set by buying soem wooden circles in a craft store and using an extra fine poitn sharpie marker. it ws very easy and took no time at all.
I jstu had noticed GOD CENTERED seemd to fall on Sunday alot and some of the chips were not happening very often. I thought it had to be quite a coincidence if you were drawing them. It's just as much coincidence. if you go down the list in order.
thanks for doing these chips Misty. And welcome home. Hope you had a wonderful retreat.

Dear Lin----I tried to write on the poker chips with a magic marker and it didn't really work very well for me. I type the words on a paper then cut and paste them onto poker chips. It takes me about 2 hours cuz I go cross eyed and have to get up and walk away. The retreat was very different from anything I have ever done in program and I am glad that I tried it ONCE. Thanks for stopping by!-----Mistyeve

Not a criticism, just a statement. I thought they were being pulled and it seemed more spiritual that way.
I like the thought of sharing your recovery with you, the list doesn't feel quite the same.
I gave my bag away to a sponsee so I don't have mine others. I use pieces of paper.

I wasn't disagreeing my friend. You sound defensive. I don't have chips, so I use paper. The message is what is important, not what it is written on.
I wouldn't be using paper if I didn't think they work and I thank you for introducing them to me.
