I need to remember what I learned in early recovery:Want what ya have don't always have to have what ya want. I am jealous when I am NOT in the right now. I dream of a house with a yard and flowers and a garage for my car and a dog name Fido runnin around....Was that too much information? LOL!!! Are you content or jealous? Please let me know! Thanks----Mistyeve

I am content, but I also know I need to work and make sacrifices for goals I haven't achieved yet, I can't get something for nothing.

On the whole, I am content in today. The only time I lose that is when my health isn't as I would have it be and it prevents me from actively doing what I want.
Jealousy only raised it's ugly head when I was in a relationship when I was using. My second husband I would have given away and no one would take him, took exception to anyone who came onto him on the dance floor. Came very close one night to punching someone's lights out. Sour grapes is not good and when you add alcohol, it get even more sour.

I dont call it jealousy to dream of a house and garage and a dog in the yard. That's a drea, or a goal. And hard work can make many of our dreams come true.
Content. I am happy with my jobs and my home. I am happy with my marriage , family and freinds. I am content right where I am. I dont need more than this to be happy, so I dont drive around looking at bigger houses or newer cars and say i wish i had that instead of mine. I'm fine with what I have.

Dear John---I do make sacrafices. I go to work and put up with stuff I would rather not do to get a pay check. I save money and try to stay to a budget. I hope all this will pay off someday in reaching my goal. It may be an impossible dream. Thanks for stoppin by!!! Mistyeve
Dear Caressa---The dance floor can cause a lot of jealous feelings. I see people who can dance better then I can and women with nicer dresses. Alcohol added to those feelings is like gasoline to a bonfire. It is gonna explode! This is just my own opinion. Thanks for stopping by----Mistyeve
Dear Lin---It sounds like you have a charmed life and it is probably because you have learned to be content with what you have. So glad you could stop by and talk about this! Thanks & Hugs---Mistyeve

I am pretty content considering the fact that life isn't a bowl full of cheeries. When I see how our world is in regards to diseases and hunger.. it really makes me content that our country is really in a better place. (even if we don't agree with the government or the system)

Dear DG---Yeah I start to shiver when I think of the women who have to wear long black dresses and black veils over the hair and face so all that shows in the eyes. What a lousy fashion statement! LOL I am glad to have the freedom to talk and dress the way I feel like doing. Thanks so much for stopping by Honey! Good to hear from you------Mistyeve
