I have to get the discipline back to pack my lunch and lay out my clothes for work. Working keeps me real disciplined with regard to food and clothes. Self discipline is a strong part of my program. Are you disciplined or are you undisciplined? Please let me know! Thanks----Mistyeve

Morning Mistyeve,
Brown bagging it ... made plenty of them with 2 kids. LOL For me packing lunch the night before was what worked for me. Right after dinner when there was still food around. Leftovers make great lunches. Plus it got done before I went into my couch potato routine after cleaning up. LOL
Clothes well can't offer any suggestions there my kids are into their own thing there....
Disciplined/Undisciplined
For the most part I think I am pretty disciplined. I pray each day (even if its a quickie) and I have a general plan for the day. But with summer here that plan gets a little looser except for the really important stuff. For me summer is a time when I relax with the kids & hubby. So the carpet didn't get vacuumed. It is not going anywhere (and the crumbs certainly won't do me the favor of walking away LOL). So the laundry is piling up, I am grateful to have enough to wear. Some things just take a higher priority in my life.
I had a mom that was always at work , and even brought work home with her. She couldn't be bothered during her work time. She was unavailable to me as a child. Something that I don't want to leave as a legacy. Family for me is a major discipline, following right after God. But that is just my humble opinion.
Love & God Bless, Arlene

being disciplined is second nature to me. I think I've always had this chip. I never have trouble getting up in the morning to go to work. In the summer when I dont have to get up so early i STILL get up very early jsut to start my day. I have a housekeeper once a week but she does nto do dishes or laundry. So even when I am working both of my jobs I keep the laundry and the dishes done.
Self discipline is like making good things in my life a habit, ...prayer, eating right, exercising, household chores, giong to work, etc. Some days I pick out my clothes and pack my lunch the night before and some days i don't. That's not really discipline to me. I jsut grab something on those days...no big deal. Yesterday was the 4th and I had picked out my r, w, & b outfit the night before. Today I did not have it picked out. I jsut grabbed somethng I liked and put it on.

Dear Arlene----I am so impressed that you are using the Serenity prayer line (change the things you can) to break a family tradition you thought was NOT so good. You take the time to be with your kids and hubby and NOT be like how your Mom was. I just love a success story!!! Thanks for stopping by!! Mistyeve
Dear Lin----I sounds like you are able to go with the flow and that is a good thing. I am kinda foggy and indecisive before I get a shower so it is much better for me to have stuff laid out and lunch made. It works if ya work it! Thanks for stopping by----Mistyeve
