PRAISE / CRITICIZE
Well hubby is off on one of his obsessive binges, trying to accomplish all the work that has fallen to the wayside over the past years of using.
Seeing him making an effort for improving our home by doing all these different projects is wonderful. He has taken it on as his responsibility to get the painting done and the windows cleaned, without asking for my help. Which is a good thing. I am out of his way and visa versa. Kudos to a job well done. Butting out and keeping my mouth shut and giving praise gets a lot more accomplished then critiquing the work. I have grown past the point of looking for flaws and and happy the work is done.

I'm glad he wants to get the work done. Perhaps he has a clear head right now and realizes he has been negligent for a while.
Praise and criticize? growing up I remember the criticism but very little praise. I learned that behavior and became good at it myself. I have learned over the years of teaching, that praise gets more good results from the children than criticism. So i use that to have a better environment in my classroom. One trainging we had this summer for classroom management said to be sure you do the ration of 5 to 1...if you DO criticise...like teling them they are too noisy...you must also be sure to compliment them 5 times. i keep that number in the back of my mind and dont actually make tally marks, but I do praise much more than criticize. It's making a very plesant place to be all day for all of us.
